I don't see them adding him to the 40 man roster so I presume that his job is to be the closer when all the AAA Indianapolis Indian stud relievers like Welker, and Black get called called up when Rosters expand Sept 1

i can tell that the pirates are starting to tank.they look tired anymore and wore out.they have a hard part of the schedule coming up and looking like they do i don't see them hanging on to this 2 game lead.

after this series they go on a 7 game west coast road trip

then return home for 6 games

then go on the road for 9 more which includes the cardinals for 3,brewers for 3,and texas for 3,...so the next 22 games will tell the future of the pirates
