The reason this whole situation seems like crap is how hard is it to figure out to come post a thread and tell the guy to post in it to verify it is him.

Believe me nobody feels dumber than me here. Shortly after this took place I was able to get back ahold of the first guy and asked him to post a thread with specific information in it to verify it was him. He said he would, then signed off immidiately and has not signed on since and he hasn't posted the thread with the information.

No to mention I talked to the REAL Rx'er and once again as you can read from other posts, he had no freaking clue what was going on, and the mods vouched for this guys credibility.

UPDATE#2

Not sure If I understand this last comment.....?? If they know the money was sent from you to his account..Why won't you get your money back from the site ??

Or is the Money Out of there already ??

Sorry to hear about this...This @sshole really needs a Baseball Bat Across the Legs !! If you Ever find out where he Really Lives, and it's Close to the New York Area...Just let me know...:biggrinin

Both sites said the accounts were cleaned out and there was nothing they could do for me. I can't really argue with them on this as it wasn't their fault and if they reloaded everyone for these problems, they would probably become easy targets themselves.

i personally feel all the begging to transfer money threads between posters here if nothing else presented an opportunity for someone to be taken advantage of. if you poker players need money but it in the gdamn account yourself and quit with the threads begging for change from someone on this site.

There are certainly several of us who know who each other are & have no worries about tossing someone a fity or hundy so they can join in our games. Given that, be damn sure that you know who you are dealing with-the scammers are obviously onto those of us who have helped each other out.

It sucks, but it's life. Be careful-very careful.

Nice post. This is how I used to feel about people who were scammed.

It was a joke, but it is how I feel about you. You have to be pretty gullible to send money to a guy you've talked on ONLINE for a DAY.

I'm not the brightest guy around here, but that seems pretty damn stupid to me.

If this was some type of identity theft without your knowing....or something like the Insiders situation where you talked to the guy on a constant basis and met him, I'd feel bad for you. But you were just a chump who fell for some random talking to you on IM.

Also,

you guys may want to watch out for these aim addresses, they were all part of the scam:

Newman20790
Texastex23
Dal...... (this one starts with the letters D-a-L, then has the rx'ers name in it) so I won't post the full name.

The guy represented himself as a well known Rx'er who has over 10k in posts. Not just some random IM that popped up, and he knew specific info about the forum. He also used another account to pose as another Rx'er and the two played off each other perfectly. I know I made a serious mistake. I am divulging all of this to help you guys so that you don't get ass raped like me. I don't need you to remind me how stupid I am. Believe me, nobody feels dumber than I.

you're blowing so much smoke up our ass we may all get colon cancer, man the fcuk up and admit you're a contributing factor to a fellow poster being scammed! you and the manej with the fcuking begging for money threads is probably what got this shit started, now another poster is out money yet you act like it's no big deal. let it be a fcuking fifty dollar Bonus Play incorrectly graded in a contest and you act like you've been held up at the atm, zero credibility from you on this one. zero!

I am not even sure who you are, but maybe I am part of the problem. But in the past 4 years, I have helped out NUMEROUS posters with transfer to batjamaica or pinnacle and so forth. Most of times, I would send them money at a sportsbook for the same at paypal.

I cant control the other guys though teaz. But I can guarantee that you wont see me asking online anymore. I will still send out the cash to guys here who need it and have done transactions in the past though

By the way guys, pokerstars is giving a 20% bonus on all moneygram deposits with a maximum bonus of $100. That is some great news. I will post the code here in a few minutes to get the bonus

The whole depositing thing is pretty shitty at some poker sites right now-especially Stars(part of the reason why I've been at FT for the last month or two).

I did a couple Xfers to EJ for Paypal $$$-which he easily could have charged back on me, but didn't. He had become a pretty prominent figure in the Rx poker scene(he whipped some ass when we were doing our weeklys), and was sending the $$$ first, so I didn't really sweat it.

On another note, I do know that someone at Fulltilt that goes as "Jrsygmblr" is another scammer, and that FT is onto him.

Like yourself, i have never made a mistake. But there are a couple of people out there that screw up. There is no need to pile on.

I'm not really sure this thread was started as a way for you to spread your referral codes around but I guess everyone is looking for an opportunity these days.
