He's still gay..Just like a few friend's of my brother's who used to be married with children and are no longer living that lifestyle. It is amazing what a man or woman will do to appease society or family or church..But you can't hide your true feelings whether you're married to the opposite sex or not. It's like me or you trying to change to a gay lifestyle. The idea that a Chrisitian can change a gay person and make them go straight is about the funniest thing I've ever heard..All of those articles that you cut and pasted are from Chrisitian organizations..Naturally they aren't going to have anything nice to say about gays..The homosexual community and the chrisitian church have been duking it out for years..The church will eventually lose. Every new generation becomes more leniant and tolerant of people..The church is still hanging on with the old guard..They will all be gone in 50 years or less.

Scientists can't agree whether it's biological or not - so how can we.

I know that there are some homomaniacs out there who've done everything they can to "prove" that it's in the genes and not a choice - but their arguments tend to be built on water.
Do you know how hard it is to find a gene that is directly related to how a person functions or acts? It's nearly impossible. When scientiests look at these genes through a microscope, they don't have little letters like gay gene written on them..They've probably already ran across this gene..They just can't correlate it to a function of the brain or body. It will be many years if ever before they find all the genes that cause us to do the things we do..

He was obviously cured by the power of Jesus (a non-heterosexual himself...go figure)

When I see a dog or cat or bull taking it up the ass, I'll believe that homosexuality is "natural" - until then I'll continue to believe its a perversion.

If I don't lick my balls...is that an unnatural sin too :think2:

Just sayin...:lolBIG:

As far as I know it's true that science is not sure yet to what extent homosexuality is inherited and to what extent a result of other circumstances. But so far I have heard nothing that indicates gays can make a conscious "choice", not even from those scientists who dispute that it's in the genes.

Assuming what you say is true (for which we have, of course, no proof), it's obvious that your friend either was not really gay but rather in an "experimental phase" or he is still gay but tries to hide it. I have never heard about a true homosexual turning into a heterosexual.

Take my word for, he's gay or never was..If he's still gay he married and started a family for other reasons other than his freewill to live his lifestyle..There are millions of people like this..There are many prominent people in this country like that who stay in a marriage to further their careers....Look at New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, who was married for years before his gay lifestyle was discovered..This is a good example of what happens to many of these gay men after they've been in a marriage for awhile..Their desires usually end up getting the best of them..It still amazes me how little people know about this issue..I'm no different than anyone else.I've also had questions..But my brother has answered many of my questions over the years..He told me once that if I knew what he knew about how many prominent people in this country are gay, that I would be shocked.

I choose Jesus. All those who don't live by his word will be judged in the end.

There are four gays that I know of where I work and there is no way they made the choice to be that way. Utterly naive way of looking at it. Those of you who think it's a choice should really come out of the closet. We will still accept you here at the RX. Well at least us commie bastards will.

Yeah, like being born lefthanded instead of right. Geez Fletch!

In a way yes (as it is a neurological abnormality), but being left handed isnt debilitating as is being say MR or even being Gay. I mean you cant reproduce and your a minority that is always persecuted. Obviously, you were being contemptuous but you do make a point.

Go Sooners Great posts...It's nice to see someone else involved in these threads who has actual first hand knowledge of the topic.

I'll dumb it down a little because I'm really good at that.

Homosexuality is not a choice, not many people would choose to be ostracized from their family (sadly more common that not), Choose a be threatened by gay bashers, choose to not be allowed to worship in the family churches that they were raised.

Most are forced to deal with their homosexuality during there teenage years, I'm not sure about many of you but my teen years weren't easy...some might say awkward choosing to make this awkward phase of life even more so by choosing to be attracted to men just doesn't make sense.

Festering Zit - hard to accept an argument from a right-wing conservative writer, he's pushing an agenda. About your friend? He could be bi-sexual, who knows if a man came along first to sweep him off his feet he wouldn't be lving a gay lifestyle. Or maybe he found out you were off the market and you had already ruined him for other men (sorry still a jackass even when I'm serious about a topic)

Not sure are there numbers out there of men who have said they chose to be gay instead of being born gay.

Unless you're gay I doubt you can accurately say what is choice and what is born into a homosexual.

I was born right handed and switched to a lefty. I bat right, kick right, write right, but throw left. What about the pair of twin boys where they are genetically identical and 1 is gay and 1 is straight?

I don't know if you're agreeing with me or disagreeing. I was joking.

One is either born straight or gay. And I'd never judge a person based on their sexual orientation.

I do almost everything righthanded. I DJ with my left because it was the only way to learn how to use the equipment (cue a record). And when I played street hockey, for some reason I could only shoot lefthanded.
