American League pitcher dominating next opponent
Justin Hartling

Max Scherzer takes to the mound for the Detroit Tigers against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Tigers are 4-0 in Scherzer's last four starts against the Rays.

Scherzer has given up only seven runs in those four starts compared to 32 strikeouts.

Under bettors profiting when these clubs meet
Stephen Campbell

The New York Yankees and the Houston Astros have been a dream matchup for Under bettors lately. In their last six meetings, the Under is a perfect 6-0 through Monday.

They'll renew acquaintances in the Bronx Tuesday. The Yanks are currently -158 faves with a total of 8.5.

Interleague action favoring the home team
Justin Hartling

It should come as to no surprise that the home teams have been dominating interleague play in the MLB. In the past seven days home teams have gone 11-4 in interleague action, including an Atlanta Braves three-game sweep of the Oakland Athletics.

There are five games in interleague action Tuesday.

Braves ice cold behind Harang

The Atlanta Braves have been struggling with veteran Aaron Harang on the mound, dropping all of his last six starts. He'll get the ball once again when the Braves visit the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park Tuesday. The Pirates will counter with Francisco Liriano.

The Bucs are presently -136 faves on the moneyline with an O/U of seven for the NL matchup.

Under bettors happy to see Quintana face Orioles
Justin Hartling

Jose Quintana has only met the Baltimore Orioles four times in his career, but every game has gone under for bettors.

Quintana has given up nine runs in those four starts and the teams have scored a combined 23 runs in those games (5.75 runs per game).

Who's Not Hot - AL
By Mike Rose

The plot continues to thicken as we race towards the playoffs in MLB betting action. However, there are some teams that are lagging behind in the American League, all of which were in the playoffs last season.

The three teams haven't changed at the bottom of the AL, but have they gotten any closer?

Texas Rangers (48-76, -$2,972) – In a word for Texas? No. Things aren't getting any better, and they aren't going to get any better. Forget about all of the injuries. Even the men who are playing are playing lousy ball. SS Elvis Andrus, a man who could be counted upon for a .300 average every season, is batting just .272 with 61 runs scored. OF Shin-Soo Choo, a man who figured to kill the ball in the hot air of Arlington, has just 12 homers for the season and is batting .241, and he has struck out 127 times already in 439 at bats. RHP Yu Darvish has been battling injuries, but he is only 10-7 with a 3.06 ERA, numbers which just aren't what we are used to seeing. Manager Ron Washington very well could pay the price for as bad as this year has been.

Boston Red Sox (56-67, -$2,158) – Did you really expect things to get better for the Red Sox after they traded away all of their pitchers? The last time we addressed who was cold in the American League, Boston featured a rotation with Jon Lester, John Lackey, Clay Buchholz, Felix Doubront, and Jake Peavy. Now, the rotation features Rubby De La Rosa, Brandon Workman, Joe Kelly, Allen Webster, and Buchholz. Yikes. The Red Sox underwent a 10-hour period like no team we have ever seen in the bigs with all of the trades that they made to various contending teams, and though we believe that they are setup well for 2015, the rest of this year is probably going to be a disaster without any legitimate starting pitching.

Tampa Bay Rays (61-63, -$1,668) – We give the Rays all sorts of credit. They sold their biggest asset at the trade deadline in LHP David Price, and at least in the immediate, they basically only got back LHP Drew Smyly. Don't get us wrong. We're big time Smyly believers. But he's not David Price. That said, Tampa Bay managed to become the first team in baseball history to improve from 18-games under .500 to get back to the .500 mark at 61-61. That said, two straight losses feel like they have taken the air out of this team just a bit. If the Rays can figure this out and get into the playoffs this year in spite of the bad start to the season and in spite of the fact that they traded away Price, both GM Andrew Friedman and manager Joe Maddon should be enshrined into the Hall of Fame right now. Of the three teams on this list, Tampa Bay is the one with the best shot of getting off of it by the end of the year, but the team is still over nine units away from the closest team, the Detroit Tigers (-$747).

GC: MLB Totals Play

Triple Powered MLB On Tuesday, a 100% Totals System Play and 2 Big Dominators Both from systems cashing over 90%. Free MLB totals Play below.

The Free MLB totals system is on the over in the Houston at NY. Yankees Game. Rotation numbers 961/962 at 7:05 eastern. This game fits a powerful totals system here tonight that plays to the over for home favorites of -140 or higher like the Yankees, that come home off a road win and are playing a team that arrives also off a road win but as a dog like Houston, that won by 5 or more runs and both teams had 1 or less errors. If the total in these games is more than 8 the system has played over every time. Houston is averaging over 5 runs the past week and has played over in 3 of there last 4. They send Oberholtzer to the mound and he has allowed 7 runs in 11 innings in his last 2 August road starts ad 6 runs in 2 starts spanning 10 innings vs the Yankees. Capuano has been just a 5-6 inning pitcher and has gone over in 4 of his last 6 Home August starts. Look for this one to push over the total tonight. The Tuesday card has 3 Big Plays 2 are big Dominator systems cashing over 90% and the total is from a rare system that has not lost and has crushed the totals line. Jump on now and cash big with these tremendous League Wide systems. For the free MLB Play take Houston and New York to go over the total. GC

'Blue Birds'

Toronto's 4-11 mark in August is the American League's worst for the month. At 64-61 overall, the Blue Jays aren't yet in hopeless territory but they're getting close to kissing postseason hopes goodbye. Next up for Blue Birds, a mini two game interleague series vs NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers. Left-hander J.A. Happ toes the rubber for Toronto, entering the game with an 8-7 record, 4.20 ERA over 18 starts with a 10-8 team start record. In his last outing in Seattle, he was slammed for 2 yard-ball, 5 runs over 6 innings bringing his mark to 4-3 on the road with 5.26 ERA in 11 trips to the mound (5-6 TSR). Happ trades pitches with righty Mike Fiers carrying a 2-1 record, 1.29 ERA over two starts, 4 relief appearance. The hurler has been light's out in the two starts allowing a single run over 14.0 innings of work. Offensively challenged Jays have a tough road ahead as they enter on a 1-8 road skid this month platting 2.67 runs/game with the pitching staff surrendering a whopping 6.33 per/contest. Jays are also 3-10 the past thirteen on the road vs a team with a winning record crossing just 2.77 per/contest. Jays 0-7 in their last seven road games swinging away at a right-handed starter the numbers clearly point to Brew Crew being the choice in this one.

Hondo

You know what they say: Good pitching beats godawful hitting. That was the theory Hondo put in play Monday at Citi Field where the Cubs flushed the Metamucils to lower the deficit to 1,465 cloningers.

Tuesday night: You can’t go wrong with Aaron as the main man for the Braves, so Mr. Aitch will drop 10 units on Harang. Also, 10 on sure-as-shootin’ Scherzer and the Tigers to make Archer quiver.

Texas Rangers vs. Miami Marlins

7* Miami Marlins

Have to love Miami at home on Tuesday hosting Texas. Both teams open this series with a day of rest and Miami is 11-1 against AL teams scoring 4.7 or less Runs per game this season. They've dominated Inter-League play, posting an 11-4 record against A.L. teams this year. If that wasn't enough, Miami heads into Tuesday as one of the HOTTEST teams in MLB, winning 7 of their last 10 games (7-3) while Texas is on a 1-4 losing skid. The icing on the cake is that Miami starts Jarred Cosart on the mound, who's already 2-0 against Texas this season! The only thing not to like the Marlins is the price.
