how can these coaches be rasict if 80% of their players are black. that just doesn't make sence. And It is a fact that overall black athletes are better athletes. Is there even 1 single white running back in the NFL. I would guess that at least 80% of the key position players are black. QB, RB, WR, DB's, LB's. And blacks make up what like 15% of the U.S. population. They are better athletes than we are, so what. Who cares it's the truth. Hey I know I can't dance, so you know what I do. I stay my white ass off the dance floor. Obvioulsy there are some exceptions to the rule, but overall it's a fact.
People always say you shouldn't put steriotypes on people but do you know why they were put there to begin with, because overall they are true. White's can't dance, and blacks are better athletes deal with it.

Used to buy bunkers at the Turf Club on the way out the track there. Played Bowie infootball when I was in school but we didn't play Laurel for some reason. Small world, eh?

i knew brent barry was coming. ever see "coming to america"? eddie murphy as the old black barber talking about boxing..."every time i start talkin' bout boxing, some white boy brings up rocky marciano..."

brent can jump, that's true. can he jump like jordan and dr. j? i dont think so but he can jump. maybe you guys are right...maybe black guys aren't faster and can't jump any higher.

i mean, steve nash is white. jason sehorn was pretty good. craig james was the tailback for the 1985 afc champion new england patriots. maybe i'm wrong. maybe there is no difference between the white and black athlete when it comes to speed and jumping ability. i played high school basketball my freshman year (b team). i think i'll test this theory.

i'll go to the health club any sign up for one of the competitve basketball leagues and see how well i do against the black guys. i filled in last year as a sub and got dunked on twice. the guy's nut sack literally flew over my head as i attempted to take a charge.

if i walk in there next week knowing full well that they have no advantage because they are black, i will dunk on his ass.

yes! i am psyched!

Blue. I am not talking about the issue at all. The only thing I was bringing up was that we have a bunch of non minorities decided how black people should feel about a comment.

Laurel is a weird animal, there are 3 different counties that fall/border the city.

i'm not deciding how they should feel. i am expressing how i feel when people call someone a racist for stating a fact like black athletes have changed the game of football.

I got cut from my high school basketball team because our coach did not want any white guys on the team. I could never prove that, he told me that in his office with just us there - but racism definitely works both ways. I think I'm over it! Good night to all! Gotta work now! LOL!

How come we have only a bunch of white bread crackers at this site? :drink:

Those statements are obviously in no way racist, and I think in Paterno's case overly complimentary. However, the virtual absence of black head coaches in NCAA football is glaring.

should have convinced him that he needs a guy to come off the bench to shoot technical foul shots at crucial points in the game.

If that was the real reason then that's phucked up. A Player is a player regardless. Pricks that use excuses at press conferences such as race for the reason why they can't compete is lame. Why does race even have to come up? I don't see Navy's coach whining about having more Negros on his team.

Only problem with that is, you have to be on the floor when a technical foul is called to shoot the foul shot, but you knew that already. Is it racist to say white guys are better free throw shooters than black guys? I would bet the statistics bear it out, as long as you keep Chris Dudley out of the equation.

Unless he lied to me - that was the reason! I would never have started, but I knew all the guys for along time and we balled before and after. We ended up losing County Championship that year to Bladensburg.:icon_conf

He was just trying to let you down easy...he knew if he mentioned your club feet he would get labeled as anti-handicapped.
