I used to bet on sports a lot, but have been "away" for years. Anyway I decided to open a new account at Justbet for this year's superbowl. I'm really not familiar with "free rolls" or how any of the common promotions work. I made a pretty small deposit, $400, via credit card. They offered me the 35% 6x promo, which I accepted, plus some $50 "free prop bet". I basically bet everything on the moneyline for the Giants, and a prop bet on New England to have first turnover (which they did). So all told, I ended up with $1033 in my account.
Great. I'm happy. For me this was a one time thing, to make the superbowl interesting, I don't want to keep betting, I just want my money and I'll be back next year for the next superbowl. So I try to get paid - first thing I find is that its impossible to request money via the website (huh??). Next they tell me I have to call, but only during limited hours when normal people are at work and not exactly able to talk to a sportsbook. OK. So I call, next they tell me I have to wait 15 days to withdraw any fund (again, HUH???). And finally the straw that breaks my back, they tell me I cannot withdraw ANY AMOUNT until I've wagered $3000!!! I lost it at that point and blew up, eventually hanging up.
Is this really how it works? Or did this customer service person not know what they were talking about? OK, after reading about freerolls and promo stuff - I think I get it, you have to wager 6x your deposit plus bonus to be able to keep the promo funds - that's fine (not much of a promo but whatever), but can't I at least get my money plus winings MINUS the promo funds out???? This guy I talked to said no, which dumbfounds me. They can keep their promo funds, but I want my money out and there is no way in hell I'm going to wager $3000 which would almost certainly result in me losing everything. From my perspective this promo is a total scam to trick people who do not understand the rules. By the way, NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE does it say you cannot withdraw your funds if you use the promo.
If in fact, the customer service guy was wrong, then these people need to be better trained. Or better yet, let me withdraw using the website, it is rediculous that I have to call.
