Why are fans and owners suffering at all is what one of the questions should be. It shouldn’t bother anyone to the degree of it being this popular of a debate for two straight years. You guys love it and no way has anyone 100% stopped watching the nfl unless you are a complete moron. That’s just what it is. Only a moron would 100% say I’m never watching an nfl game again over ignorance and refusing to understand no player is attempting to protest the flag or veterans. Regardless of if it comes off as disrespectful, you are misinterpreting and assuming something based on a still frame. A picture. Learn first and then have an opinion.

Is this you trying to deflect the question as usual ??

Was good enough to earn a nice 2nd NFL contract.

Without looking it up, i am not sure of ACTUAL NFL $$ he received but was a play away from being a super bowl winning QB

He had 2 pretty Good years ... Here's his Contract info and Most forget HE Optioned OUT, because the 49ers were going to release him anyways

After leading the San Francisco 49ers to consecutive NFC championship games and one Super Bowl, Colin Kaepernick was rewarded with a "record" seven-year, $126 million contract in 2014.
But after three seasons of declining production, including one season of headlines surrounding his protest of the national anthem, we got to see that the contract was not nearly as big as everybody made it out to be at the time.

In the end, Kaepernick received $39.4 million from the deal, or about 31% of the total most people touted.

The contract gave Kaepernick a $12.3 million signing bonus and a 2014 salary of just $645,000. Those were the only truly guaranteed portions of the contract, despite reports that Kaepernick's deal included a record $61 million in "guaranteed" money. It turned out the $61 million was only guaranteed if he were to suffer a career-ending injury.

Each year of the contract after the first, the 49ers were free to cut Kaepernick and not owe him any more money.

To make matters worse, Kaepernick was supposed to get his first large salary ($12.4 million) during the 2015 season. However, because of the way the contract was worded, that salary actually went down to $10.4 million. Kaepernick's salary went down $2 million each year if he was not named first- or second-team All-Pro, or if the 49ers didn't play in the Super Bowl the previous season with 80% of the snaps taken by Kaepernick. None of those things happened.

Kaepernick eventually restructured his contract during the 2016 season, turning the 2017 season into a player option. Knowing that the 49ers were going to release him later in the summer, Kaepernick opted out of his contract in early March hoping to take advantage of becoming a free agent earlier and having more time to secure a new contract.

Totally forgot that CK "opted out". And that was after a HORRIBLE season.

I have no problems with players that dont stand for the anthem. However, I have no problems with owners NOT giving these players new contracts once their current contracts expire.

The players that wanna kneel should be forced to remain in the locker room. Fans dont want to see it and it gives the fake news something to blabber about

I am one of many customers who told the NFL they were going to lose me if they didn't stop the protests.
I am one of many who didn't watch the NFL for the first time in their adult life last season.
I thought this would be taken care of in the off-season.
The NFL is sending me a clear message that they do not want me as a customer.
I will oblige them.

Im not arguing anything. Im laughing at pure fact. Reid is good enough to play which means they have been both blackballed. You assumed I was talking about you and you responded. I had no interest or intention of arguing with you so therefore shove that straw up your ass man

I responded because you said something stupid, I didn't assume you were referring to me. After I responded you told me that you were referring to me.

Back to the sandbox, son.

I won't watch 1 second of the NFL this year just like last year. It is a matter of principle for me. I am offended and yes the kneeling bothers me but I am equally bothered by the fists in the air. Black power protests have no place during the anthem. The players dont get it. They are doing a disservice to themselves and the league. The anthem is not the time and place to protest and btw, the white fans should be the ones protesting all the police officers that are killed each year by black people, the numbers are vastly disproportional to the number of black people that live in this country.

Sorry you're Wrong. They get Paid to play Football, not to protest. There's a Time and Place to get the word out and it shouldn't be during a game or during the Anthem.

It's One Game per week, 16 games within 17 weeks. That's 16 days out of 365, They can protest any of those other days

they are using Their Jobs to protest. Let them do it on their own Time.

I already said I am not happy about it but I support them. I think people are getting too worked up over it and pretending like they love America more than the players who are protesting. This is not the case. They love America just as much but obviously see something wrong here.

I think you're wrong. Athletes, singers, movie stars, these aren't regular jobs. They get paid millions and kids and even adults look up to them. They have a responsibility to stand up for the right thing...or kneel.

Again, whether right or wrong the reactions of people that aren't ok with it is comical and phony. This is and will remain my stance.

I'm not happy about it but as an American I support them. This is what makes America great. Being able to kneel during the anthem and not got shot for treason.

These are the same players that stood proudly and teary eyed during the anthem before. They love America and they probably hate to have to do this but feel compelled to do so.

As far as people arguing about black on black crime or cops being shot, that doesn't change the fact that innocent black men are being harassed and shot by cops in this country and even one incident is too many. I support the police and say hello to an officer whenever I see one but there is definitely a problem of discrimination in this country even in 2018.

I say power to them. Not happy it's come to this but they aren't the ones that caused this.

I believe you're wrong. This isn't a regular job and we all know that.

It's an issue he can't lose politically and he'll use it every single time.

Where'd you get that number from out your ass? If it was 200-300 million that didn't see it as a petty issue then the nfl ratings would have plummeted that's not the case.
