I want to add that any owner who doesn't want to employ Kaepernick is smart and I wouldn't either. Why would I want this guy on my team who isn't 100% focused on football.

Except them kneeling for the flag, doesn't make them love America or less American than and of us that are pretending to be such patriots and so offended by them kneeling. Some of you keep focusing on the fact that they are kneeling rather than WHY they are kneeling. There are bigger problems in the country than some PEACEFUL protests by players.

Having said that, I really wish they wouldn't and I hate Kaepernick for starting this. I want to tune into sports and forget everything else. It's supposed to be what brings all colors and people together and now it's all muddled.

Whatever, I love the NFL and will tun in every Sunday, Monday and whatever day it is on. I'm not happy about the kneeling but I can understand why they are doing it and don't hate them for it. I'm just irritated that our president Donald is so petty worrying about these trivial little things.

What classless president in the history of this country has ever been involved in these immature, petty, low brow twitter wars or let people get a rise out of him so easily? No class.

Why are they kneeling? If I were them I'd be kneeling because the murder rates in America aren't equal across black and white culture. Black men make up 6% of our U.S. population yet commit more than 50% of murders in our country. And, a majority of the victims of those murders are black.

This is what I'd be angry about if I were the NFL players.

I've seen tons of people sitting and munching away on food, or wearing hats, or yapping away, scratching their balls , using the Anthem as a time to go to the washroom etc. Anything but standing for the Anthem.

How about people stop worrying about the act of standing for the anthem and worry about being REAL patriots. Pretending you're all offended by them kneeling. give me a break.

You ever watch these players before the PEACEFUL and HARMLESS protests started? They stood for the anthem proudly and were holding back tears. You think they don't love their country? You think they like having to kneel? They are not any less patriotic or American than any of you pointing fingers at them. You guys just saw an opportunity to point fingers and took it. We all know that you aren't anymore patriotic or American than any of those players. So don't kid yourselves.

I don't like this protesting business but I support them nonetheless. When I'm at a game I will simply ignore it. Won't support it won't speak out against it. I love the NFL and they aren't hurting anybody. At least people are talking about it so it accomplished something.

The point the advocates of the protests always leave out though is the fact that nobody else in America could protest at work without losing their job.

Some of are not "pretending" to be patriots. We love our country, are grateful we were born here, and are grateful to those who fought, some making the ultimate sacrifice of their lives, to preserve our freedom. "

"Pretending" is for pussies. I'm not a pretender.

One of the biggest scammers in the forum's history is talking about class.

Sorry you're Wrong. They get Paid to play Football, not to protest. There's a Time and Place to get the word out and it shouldn't be during a game or during the Anthem.

It's One Game per week, 16 games within 17 weeks. That's 16 days out of 365, They can protest any of those other days

they are using Their Jobs to protest. Let them do it on their own Time.

First off I Posted the article and I'm not saying I Totally agree with Trump, AGAIN I am NOT a Trump fan.

But this really needs to Stop. Plus I'll say it again what I said last year. You want to protest, Reach in Your pocket and take out an AD, a Billboard, a commercial
to get your message out there. Why do this during the National Anthem which is disrespectful to OUR Country and the Men and Women who served OUR Country
AND which you are being PAID ... with the Help of the Fan base

I thought you were a Trump supporter.

You don't like what's posted, nobody is telling you to read it

Whatever. You know nobody reads threads down in that dump. So God forbid any thread you ever create would go there.

Its not about whether I like it. I clearly don’t care for it, who would? Shitmaker threads are just to kill time when you are on the shitter. He not only produces shit worthy threads. But his threads are also always toilet time threads. This is a sports betting forum. Just look at the titles I named off. That’s right now.

If anything at all I’m just pointing out the double standard.

I agree with this 100%, however, the NFL and team owners should be making the decisions on how to handle it. Not the President. As others have said, people disrespect the flag all the time at sporting events by doing “other things” other than standing with hat off and have done it for decades, if not longer. I know because I’ve seen it for the last 50 years. This is not something the President should be involved in. To use a phrase popular with Republicans here, don’t get your panties in a wad over something that’s not that big of a deal. Concentrate on football and forget this stupid shit.

I said he and Reed and anyone else who disrespects what the flag and the anthem mean to so many, need to be blackballed. Trump says the same thing.

Some things are more important than other things. Respect for the country that gave you the opportunity to get fabulously rich is more important than any damned player.

Except it has nothing to do with the flag. The players aren’t talking about the flag at all. You notice that right?

Nobody has the freedom to do this in a workplace. Except, the Nfl isn’t a normal workplace and business.

You can take it as offensive, but the very reason veterans fought for this country is partially for people to have the ability to do exactly what these nfl players are doing. For so long everybody says,” man these athletes get paid all that money and never do anything when it comes to life issues.” Well.....now....you guys are still bitching lol. They can’t win no matter what. Fact is we all are human, and these athletes have to make a choice. Most of them are standing. You guys are aware of that right? Lol

Kap is a Hasbeen

I don't think anyone said he wasn't good enough to play (I'm sure a few people who got all in their feelings did but it wasn't any type of consensus opinion) but rather he wasn't good enough to protest, alienate a large portion of the fan base and still keep his job.

Lmao. You guys are never wrong. Tried telling yall Kaep could still play. Evident blackball if Reid is now out the league. The two players who started it first are both out. One is now 26 and a former pro bowler. If you think Reid isnt good enough to play, Id like to hear it.

You both said Kaep couldnt play. And a lot more people said it on here... where is 5teamparlay when you need him? Somebody bump that

It might be apart of what they have fought for, but it's not all of it.

and why are they doing during/before a Game ? free advertising ?? they can't reach in their own pocket to get the word out ?
they have to use the NFL platform to do it, so We the Fans/owners are paying...

1) The average viewer doesn't see it that way. Maybe it's not about the flag but the run-of-the-mill fan sees it otherwise and that's a problem for the NFL.

2) Not a normal workplace? There is an employer and and employee relationship and a collective bargaining agreement. I'm not sure what else that would be besides a normal job?
