scooters, saturated....jetskis are hard because there are so many surfers/sailors/etc. that you need a good location to run it....and there is competition in available areas (that people go to).

last time we were in Hawaii my wife rented a bunch of crappy plastic beach toys for my daughter and the two kids we went with. spent something like $100 or $150 for a week. They also rented a two cribs for the 2 year olds. Don't remember how much they cost, but with all of the families that go to Hawaii, I have to think there would be decent demand for that and certainly a high profit margin. They dropped it off at the hotel and set up the crib and then picked it up and took the crib down when we left. You could rent all kinds of that crap that families don't want to lug along, strollers, toys, cribs, beach chairs and umbrellas (I think they rented one of those too), probably car seats too, flippers, pool toys.

If you want a food franchise, Cold Stone. If you get one in a mall near a movie theatre, or in a busy walking/shopping area (like Whaler's Village in Maui), they are constantly jammed. Location is key, as it is with everything, but even more important for these.

Market to travel agents, residential agents that rent houses/condos, craigslist, travel websites, websites that list rental properties. Would be ideal to get in with the hotels/time shares concierges so they refer to you when people inquire. They often have a limited number of cribs, but not the other stuff.

Also highchairs, basically anything parents use for kids and other stuff they don't want to lug on vacation. Hell, you could just start advertising and then buy the stuff as you get customers.

Is this accurate? Why are average startup costs of KFC so much higher than that of McD's?? I thought McD's was a heck of a lot more profitable. Same thing with Sonic...

Lots of Japanese tourists, lots of american tourists....although japanese tourists spend more "disposable income" on their vacations.

Not sure what appeals to them.....besides black men for one night stands....I think there is some allure in Japan cause there are little to no black people there (the white population is larger than I thought).
