Brett Anderson, last start 8/20 (and only two starts thus far this year off a different injury) coming off DL for finger. Has been rocked his only two starts this year off of a different injury. Appears to be a lot of value on the Rockies...feels fishy but I'll bite on a 1st 5. Hell, even TT is +money.

I don't know Chugs, this is it for Scully, I stayed up last night (I'm on EST) to watch the 4th of the Dodgers/Giants game last night just to hear him. Talk about an era (pun intended) coming to a close. I think the Dodger players go swinging for the bleachers every play, batting and fielding. Safest play tonight imo is the over 8, but I've been wrong so many damn times this month, I can't keep track, lol. GL to you and Biz, great thread, one we need to keep on ice for next season.

And looks like we're back on the Rockies today as Scott Kazmir returns for the Dodgers. First start in a month, coming off DL for neck and blister. Rockies throwing out Jon Gray, and currently sits at +141 FG. I'll post all lines once 1st 5's are posted.

Watch list for remaining week+:
Lance McCullers (HOU)
Brandon McCarthey (LAD)
Steven Matz (NYM)
Sonny Gray (OAK-doubt we see him.)

Adam Conley returns today for the Marlins, in what will obviously be an emotional game. 1st start since 8/13 coming off DL for "finger."
Will be laying off everything as I'd like to root for the fish today, but for tracking purposes:

Mets -117
1st 5 -118
O8 -110
O4 -115
___________
Update from Friday. Odd game for angle as returning Kazmir only went one inning before leaving, but L's across the board:

Rockies +149 (L)
1st 5 +135 (L)
O7.5 +105 (L)
O3 -125 (L)

Sonny Gray is starting for Oakland on Wednesday (seems very odd to have him your ace pitch in what is essentially a meaningless game but who knows). He hasn't pitched since August 6th and is only slated to go 1 or 2 innings. Not sure I would touch this game personally.

Henry Owens is starting for the Red Sox on Thursday (making the start for Pomeranz). His last start in the majors was August 21st at Detroit and got shelled (8 runs in 5 innings).

I agree if on low pitch count, but for sake of tracking angle trying to keep human element out of it. I'm on road all day so if someone can post the 1st 5 and team total that would be appreciated. Only lines I struggle to find for afterwards.

Chugster, I think at this point those two would be irrelevant to the conversation. Ya got nothing to play for, other than personal pride, it's a wrap. JMO but we keep the torch flaming to next season.

Would cueto and the giants be an example for today? i took rockies last night and they have been a wonderful dog against giants alreay. What constitutes taking the TT bets and the overs? Thank you guys for posting! I am a giants fan and live in the area but the bullpen are choke artists

Cueto missed 1 game to rest a groin strain. Not really the type of injury of time off we're looking for.

Been crazy busy, but wanted to wrap this up for the season. Fading Sonny Gray (for a single inning) was an (odd) winner, but makes up for the last odd one that was an across the board loser. Henry Owens didn't qualify (to me) because he wasn't simply sent down/called up from AAA, not injury related. Cueto didn't qualify. Zimmermann caught my eye over the weekend, but he made a relief appearance before his start so I'm going to say no go.

Angels -126 (W)
Angels 1st 5 -125 (W)
Angels O8.5 -120 (W)
Angels TT O4 -120 (W)
---------------------------

Full Game - 13-18 -2.23u
1st 5 - 15-12-4 +6.33u

O/U - 15-15-1 -1.16u

TT O/U of opposing team - 13-15-3 -2.30u

Ham/Well - 14-10-7
-----------------------------------

Put on bow on this until next season. Maybe some better parameters on the injury...idk. Only arm related? Only 30 games in but 1st 5 plays looks like the interesting venture. We shall see.
