next year in Vegas lets go out for Thai!!! :toast:
there are flavors in Thai food that I do not find in any other cusine and I love it, but like anything, if the restaurant or Chef is shitty, the meal will suck....
I had 'Thai' Food last time I was in Tampa Bay and it was horrible, I can imagine someone hating Thai food if that was their first experience.
This is largely true. It's not impossible to find authentic, though it's probably going to be a hike 99% of the time.Bad-Faith said:For the folks here who don't know jack about other cultures Japanese Hibachi, Chinese takeout, Thai food, whatever--what is served in America is a bastardized western friendly verison of the real thing.

Americans like high fat, high salt, MSG and sugar in everything they slovenly consume. The food companies know this and exploit it to a near criminal degree.
Consequently obesity is fast approaching the number one preventable health care concern in the US. Its projected to overtake smoking within 15 years.
So to the uneducated critics out there my advice is simple: keep scarfing down the mutant burgers and deep fried garbarge they happily serve in McDonalds for a buck bc before long you'll be stricken with obesity, cancer, heart disease, stroke and dozens of other complications in no time flat.
Darwin was right and to paraphrase him: All that is unneccessary and careless eventually strengthens our collective gene pool by eliminating themselves from it.

Very funny though! I might be a redneck because I do choose a good burger over most!

Pho Kim Long
(Pho is pronounced Fa, so you figure out the rest. And no it doesn't have a massage parlor attached to it).
QL will attest to the fact Lotus of Siam is one of the better Thai restaurants right here in Vegas. We definitely can book a dinner there next year.

Chicken tikka masala, beef curry, shrimp curry, butter chicken (not invented in India though), daal, channa....I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
