Some of you guys talk about policing like it's just a case of "know your textbook". Are you crazy? Like to see your whimpy asses in an unruly crowd situation. One cop. Tens of hostile or potentially hostile people. Let me clue you in, he's not gonna wait to find out who the threats are. You'd better comply with his orders as he attempts to do his job. Anyone from any decent upbringing understands that. But today's black youth are becoming empowered by the month it seems. Why? Because those in authority are demonizing the cops.
I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of our racist, divisive President and his Attorney General, Holder. I expected this guy to complete the unision that for me and my white family and friends had been 50 years in the making. To be the uniter that he campaigned to be. Instead he has inflamed every high profile newsmaking situation that involved the cops and race, starting with his (black) friend Gates in Cambridge where he said the (white) police acted stupidly when they were on a call to protect the guy's property, to Ferguson, where he sent THREE Administration representatives to the funeral of a black thug who died in an attempt to disarm and physically accost a police officer doing his duty, intervening with the Department of Justice in an unveiled attempt to indict said white police officer. You may recall that he was absolved of any wrongdoing by a grand jury. Instead of being honored as a hero for putting his life on the line for his community he was forced to resign. Of course Baltimore followed and the black Mayor stood in front of the world and said that she gave the thugs "time to destroy" while she told her police force to stand down while the animals pelted them with rocks, trashed, and burned their community.
This Country has never been more racially divided in my lifetime. And the worst part is that black people not only now feel entitled to my tax dollars toi support (many of) them but also feel entitled to be lawless without any tough response from the law. And they're gonna get it too. What cop is gonna do his job, where he already puts his life on the line, but now puts his job on the line?
The worst part is that I'm not sure how we put this sickness back in the bottle. Everybody has video cameras these days. If that McKinney cop's actions are grounds for dismissal (and maybe lawsuits) who is gonna do the right thing going forward? Who?
We need strong black leadership to get this all back in perspective. Where is that going to come from?
The society is coming apart at the seems right in front of our eyes.
