Well the facts are he is 2-1 Carroll as the AP title does count.

well this is worth pulling up. Like I said, USC is a total joke. I had UW on the damn money line weeks ago and thought I had that. Also had 'em straight. I wish I had OSU on the ML today. Either way, it's now clear and obvious, USC is a joke, they don't belong in the top 20, but can argue they are worthy of the 21st position or worse.

USC is nowhere near the team of last yr or the two years prior to that....end of discussion this year.

Great job of finding this Blitz so we could see just how ignorant some were in defending USC and having the nerve to compare them to Ohio State. I guess dumb, biased whormoan was right all along. Ohio State would wipe the field with USC. But then again so did Oregon State.

I think the most telling statement of this game was that Oregon St. played it's B game and won. Usually when a Top 5 team gets upset like this, their opponent brought an A or A+ game and everything came together. Oregon St. had miscue after miscue, didn't put up near the points they should have in the first half, and still won this game.

Ohio St. rolls everyone this year. The only team I think with even a prayer against them would be West Virginia.

Good points Hines. OSU missed 2 FG's (with a Groza finalist), had to settle for 6 FG attempts, had a botched punt snap which cost them a TD, had a goalline TD run not counted or reviewed, had a phantom PI call or two go against them which were a joke, had the Steve Smith catch upheld (he was on the chalk), had 10 penalties, gave up 6 sacks, gave up 400 yards passing, and still won. Carroll showed again he is really not a good coach, just a good recruiter.

Technically speaking it is 2-1 Carroll.

Technically, BCS Titles(the glass football) are the way National Titles are counted, thus USC has no more and no less than does FSU, Okla, Miami, OhSt, LSU, and Texas do this millenium..despite being the best and most consistent program over the last five years.

We're going to the game, right? Illini are a pretty solid team if they play mistake-free. Problem is, they make bad mistakes at the most inopportune times, and that's what makes them a bad team. But if they play perfect, and Ohio St turns it over a couple of times, you never know. Ohio St is so well coached that they will not be looking ahead, so I don't think it will happen. But the public still thinks this is the same Illinois team as last year. They are wrong.

Zook doing a good job at Illinois, but I have more faith in Coach Weber in terms of Illini HC'ing.

Buckeyes D is flat out sitting on teams of late.

I'd be shocked.

It would be the biggest upset in my lifetime that I can remember. We're just dreaming. But if Illinois could stop turning the ball over and stop dropping passes, they would be going to a bowl. And nobody knows this expect for very sharp bettors and Illini fans.

I said it's probably not going to happen. But if you watched Illinois the past two weeks, they were better than Penn St and every bit as good as Wisconsin on those Saturdays, and both were on the road. Wisconsin is a better team, but Illinois should have won the game today. You'd give Wisky at least a prayer of beating Ohio St at home, wouldn't you? That's why I'm going to the game hoping for a win.

Correct....Illinois should have won.....but Ohio St. is in another class...I am pulling for you, but it looks bleek. Nothing wrong for pulling for your team, especially when you go in person....only thing I miss in Costa Rica is going to live sporting events and race tracks(horses)....Good luck next week.

Kinda funny as I was reading this thread I was reading about how good USC has been the last few years. Yeah they were pretty damn good but history is history and they are nowhere near as good this year. Oh, as for last year being luck, a fluke or whatever else by Texas they won a damn close game. When USC wins close games it's because it's what great teams do. The same thing don't apply to last years Texas team I guess?

Of course you are right, but I just cannot help but bet Illinois Moneyline when I see it.
