Why are you doing what most refer to as daisy chaining? If you are going to do this lets look at who Ohio St beat.

They beat an overrated Texas squad.

They beat Cincy, a middle of the road Big East team.

They were average in beating Penn St, a team who got whipped by ND, beat up Northwestern who is obviously down this year.

Tonight they beat up on an overrated Iowa team who I said for awhile now were frauds. They did not dominate Montana although the score says otherwise. This same Iowa team which has more talent compared to Syracuse almost lost. I know they were without Tate but still they should have dominated them.

I'm sorry but you are picking & choosing what to point out about the teams each has beaten so far.

When the season ends, who will USC's best road win have come against? An unranked, garbage team. OSU beat two highly ranked teams (including at the time #2 Texas) on the road in very tough stadiums. you say texas is overrated. Texas did beat USC last yr and lost a lot less talent than USC did to graduation. Texas would beat USC again, not that it matters. If you don't beat a ranked team on the road all season, you don't deserve a BCS spot. You are supposed to win at home

USC lost because it let the game slip away. They played their C game & still should have won. Anyone who objectively saw that game saw that Texas's so called great D could not stop USC.

Anyhow the BCS spot isn't determined by only who you beat on the road. So if we went with your thinking, a team should get punished when their tougher games end up at home with the prior season having been on the road. How much sense does that make?

If USC finishes undefeated they will have beat a ranked

Nebraska

Oregon

California

Notre Dame

possibly UCLA

Notre Dame could easily be a top 10 team again when that game occurs. Cal or Oregon could also be top 10 & if not definitely 15.

before tonight, i may not have agreed with you, but now i would agree... ohio st. is definitely the best team in the country right now imo, their skill players are dynamite and i can't believe how good that defense is after losing all the talent off last year's team, they will be very tough to beat...

WHo cares where it is played at. Would you be yapping if Ohio St got their toughest games all at home? I somehow doubt it.

So which teams are not overrated? Auburn, who struggles against everyone they face? WV? A team with no D and a crap ass QB. USC can barely score in a first half. In your book everyone sucks, there are no good teams. I really think your saying this just to be different and for the sake of argueing.

I don't think there is one clear cut great team. If any team is underrated it is Boise St.

EGD, I have to agree partly with Whormoan that Ohio State is definitely the best in the nation right now. They would be favoured to win in a neutral field with anyone. I would be pretty shocked right now if Ohio State isn't the favourite to win it all. Don't know if they would be laying 7.5 to USC, but if you can go into Texas, who hasn't lost in ages at home and go give a beating to a pretty decent Iowa team that should tell people something. But bet on Ohio State is a different story, they are going to be shaded even higher now, I think.

Texas is garbage & overrated. They were never the 2nd best team in the country to begin with & got exposed. Iowa has been overrated since the get go.

Ohio St might be favored over anyone based on perception but that is all it is perception. When they beat a legit top 5-10 team this season, it will be the first time they do so.

USC was struggling with Wazzou and Arizona last two weeks (both second-tier Pac-10 schools) so where's the bias here. Anyway the team that had the most team speed vs USC in a bowl got left out (Texas). Bucks have more team speed than Texas last year.

This is not a bias, these are the facts.

It took a crazy good performance by Vince Young to eek out a victory. Texas barely won that game.. USC more upside than any team in the nation. We have not seen the best of USC.. USC dominated non-conference competition this year.

Troy Smith is just as capable as VY. We may have seen the best of SC this year with Jarrett out. Upside means they haven't done it yet.

Very true, but those scores have nothing to do with this year's rankings. USC wants higher rankings, beat Arizona and Wazzou on the road by bigger margins.

Ohio St has two VERY impressive road wins with Texas and Iowa. USC doesn't have anything even close to that.

USC was life and death to beat a team that isn't in the top 200 in the country. And let's be fair and realize they needed every call to get that win. Last week they led a pathetic Arizona team 3-0 at the half.

The only bias in these threads are those of you who think USC has any place in any BCS debate. Past history means nothing. They deserve no favors (a #2 preseason ranking) for last yr. This yr's team is mediocre. Trojan fans have little pins that say "LEAVE NO DOUBT". The only team leaving no doubt is Ohio State who WHIPPED the two best road teams on their schedule in hornet nest stadiums. USC won't even face a team close to that on the road this season. You should fall in the rankings for scraping by WSU

Mark May be on the USC payroll but the rest of the boys at ESPN are off the bandwagon. You will see a definite change in pushing for USC to play for it all this yr. what's fair is more than fair
