Ohio State would wipe the field with USC

By strength of sked Ohio St is slightly better than USC BCS wise. I am not sure both Texas and Iowa were overated, or Ohio St. made them look overated. Still, they went in and dominated in hostile environments, on the road. I think wipe the field is a huge exaggeration. This would be a close game. I hope we get to see it.

I think its a bit early to be using your BIAS against USC. Lets play out the schedule first and see if teams like Auburn can do better against teams like South Carolina before yoiu start rewarding them with a spot in championship game. You might get your way anyway. Most of the time they stick a crappy & overrated Big 12 team in championship game to get exposed for what they really are. Nebraska instead of Oregon and Okla instead of USC. System doesn't work for that kind of crime to happen. You see what happens when these teams actually get on field. Oregon destroys Colorado & USC toys with best defense ever in Okla.

It took a crazy good performance by Vince Young to eek out a victory. Texas barely won that game.. USC more upside than any team in the nation. We have not seen the best of USC.. USC dominated non-conference competition this year.

You're kidding me with that statement? Are we forgetting who was the prohibitive favorite? Texas deserved that game. USC has proven very little so far this year.

I don't think there is one clear cut great team. If any team is underrated it is Boise St.

No clear cut great team? I guess when OSU goes undefeated and wins the NC you will find some reason that they still are not that good. You're clueless if you can't see that OSU can walk over any competition, but you have your right to your opinion.

How may times in the past have we seen super teams that can't lose , actually lose. This is a very good team and may well be the best team in the country, but there not that good. They can be beat by alot of teams on days there not playing there best. Its happended before

I have been hearing this stuff for years. For some reason it has become fashionable and trendy to dislike the Trojans. Guess they are angry over USC having the best recruiting or the amazing recent success.

I think it's absurd to think OSU would wipe the floor with USC. The Buckeyes might beat USC but no way would it be a walkover. And who knows if OSU hasn't peaked already? Are you sure they will still be this good at seasons end?

One more thing, I would take Carroll over Tressel anyday!!!!

Last years lost to Texas was a fluke it took the best single performance of all time(VY)to BARELY beat USC. Yes BARELY... Everything worked out for them to win the game..

USC absolutely would not have a chance against OSU, (this year) unless OSU lost the turnover battle -4 or worse. The two teams aren't anywhere near closely matched. USC had a very tough time against a horrendous offense in the Arizona Wildcats. If it weren't for a late muffed kick by 'Zona, they have a shot with Steptoe to make some plays and maybe win the game. Wazzu had a shot to beat USC and Wazzu is mediocre at best. USC will lose at least 2 games this year, but i'm thinking more along the lines of 3 games.

With that being said, last year's Trojan team would have the edge on this year's OSU team and that would be one hell of a game. This year, it would be OSU by 3 td's and that would be easy.

The utter bias against USC is beyond stupid in this thread. So you want to knock my opinion of no team being a clear cut #1 based on the results. Yet some will use these same results to justify why Ohio St is clearly the best or would wipe the floor with USC. Sorry you can't have it both ways!

Name one team in the last 4 years that has wiped the floor with USC? The answer is nobody. Yes, they sneaked out some wins but all great teams do. How about when Ohio St did the same thing when they won?

No team has clearly showed they are the best by a far mark, absolutely no one! Hello, the season is barely a month old, how the hell could anyone seriously say a team is clearly superior without question.

Buckeye lovers can spin it all they want but they beat an overrated Texas squad who's hype was off of last year. Iowa is a decent team but far from a top 10 squad.

Oh let me not forget how they squeeked by Penn St & don't even give me the sleepwalking excuse. The Penn St game was a damn revenge game so I doubt they would just sleepwalk through such a game.

I don't think anyone is questioning they are one of the top teams but to say they have clearly shown to be superior is a load of shit. This is all based on "names" of who they beat.

I think some of this anti USC talk is coming from the comparisons to last year's team. Let it go, they lost 3 top skill guys. Yes, they have great depth & recruiting. However as talented as one is, you still need real game chemistry & it is a work in progress.

If you asked me right at this very second, I'd say OSU has an advantage due to more real game chemistry especially on offense. However I know by the end of the season, the advantage won't be there & it would be a game I think USC could win by 10 or so.

The title game is not in September!

Some of the pro-USC talk in this thread has been about the last 4 years. All I know is Carroll has as many national championships as Tressel.

Technically speaking it is 2-1 Carroll.

As of right now, Michigan is better than USC too - and I hate Michigan.
