I have to admit this is a Fan-tastic Topic Swerve!
I am headed out to job site and will return this evening with an expectation of reading at least 50+ posts deriding the Beantowners mixed together with at least a dozen half-hearted defensive attempts from "Sox Nation".
Since none of you even come close to the point, and thats my fault for assuming I'm dealing with guys who can "read between the lines", the American League , Yankees, Red Sox, or Texas, or anybody else in the American League have a chance to win The World Series. NOT A CHANCE!!!
The National League, most likely the Phillies, will be The World Champions! So enjoy watching the Yankees guess who will attempt to save the pitching staff, and enjoy Texas scoring at will, and the Red Sox, battle to the bitter end, because after the smoke clears, none of the American League teams have any shot of bringing a World Championship home.
Bedard, Wakefield, Colon, Nova, Harrison, Lewis, and on and on and on ...none of these pitchers could EVER start for the Phillies. NEVER!!!!! (Only Verlander and Sabathia could pitch successfully in the National League).

Not sure what you trying to get at Fat Harry, I could care less about either team, unless I have money on them, if theres one thing about baseball, its not about what names that are on the paper, its how they are doing at the time, baseball is 70 percent mental 30 percent physical, it all depends what teams are hot down the stretch, your just trying to get Yankees fan riled up, inwhich I think have a better pitching staff, and I know a better bullpen, and better hitters to boot when Arod comes back.
