Probably as good a time as any to note that though I've been fairly inactive with Rx site this summer, this FatHarry guy really has a good eye for what is what in The Great Game.

I think Yall should start a thread and see who is better. Every bet is to win one unit and 5 units is max win on a bet, so obviously you can risk more than 5 units but can only win 5 units on a single game. 3 picks a day whoever wins the most unit by next Monday is the winner.....

i wish!!!!

FH is sharp, no denying, but there are others just as sharp.

Also MLINK....Napoli is the rangers best catcher, and swinging the rangers best bat the last month or so. Rangers very rarely lose when Napoli is catching. Young will be DH once beltre gets back, may play some first base to get moreland in there.....and for god sakes, Oliver is not a Freaking set up man anymore.....its Koji Uehara, mike Adams, and then feliz(I don't like feliz but that's what we've got). Oliver is a situational guy at best for the rangers right now...mark lowe is pitching really well out of the bullpen the last month or so as well. But take Oliver out of your head as a set up man for the rangers, he is not trusted anymore even though he is one of Washingtons boys

do you see his plays? takes phillies at -220 then takes them at +2 1/2 and lays 4000 to win 500

how is that a skill?

yeah napoli is good no doubt, but the yankees catcher is pretty good as well... and the rangers BP is not better than the yanks in any stretch of the imagination just look at the numbers.... soriano >> uehara robertson > adams mariano >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> feliz

CC- nothing needs to be said...FUCKING BEAST (except against the Sux this year)

Hughes- maybe a headcase, but he wasn't a top pitching prospect for nothing...if he can get his strikeout pitch back he's gonna be straight nasty.

AJ- GREAT GREAT stuff (potentially) and honestly has the talent/potential to throw a gem every night, but he's got some serious mental shit going on and Im fucking sick of it.

Nova- Honestly, I love the kid when I have no faith in him to begin with. I have been so impressed by his demeanor and calmness on the mound. The kid pitches with confidence and right now, I'd take him over a lot of guys. Im not saying he's "lights out," but come playoff time if he was named #2...Id be 100% ok with it.

Colon- he's been a diamond in the rough this year, but I'm a little worried about him now that we're getting to the end of the year, he (and that arm of his) may not have the durability to last much longer.

Garcia- Not happening, Smoke & Mirrors can only get you so far, I'd be happy with him getting a few starts here and there til the end of the year, but I dont know about him come playoffs.

My Personal Playoff Rotation:
CC
Nova
Colon
Hughes (with Garcia ready for implosion)
AJ (see Hughes)

LETS GO YANKEES!

P.S. Im sick of all these analysts on Bostons nuts...if the Sux are as "good or better" as the 27 Yanks..what does that say about the team that's sitting above them in the AL East?

Texas benefits from the easy AL West, eh

Quick review

Texas SP > NYY
Texas bullpen = NYY

Napoli > NYY DH du jour
Torreabla > Martin
Moreland/M Young > Texiera
Kinsler = Cano
Andrus > Jeter
Beltre > ARod

Outfield

Hamilton/Chavez/Cruz > Gardner/Grandy/Swisher

I could make a point on a few of these...but im sorry, (and I respect your opinion barman) but if you think Ian Kinsler is equal to Robinson Cano then youre fucking high on something I want...cause Im stoned and that still looks ridiculous

Soriano doesn't scare me, I don't like that guy. I dnt know much about Robertson. Those guys are good, but I dnt think they are unbeatable. It all boils down to who is swinging the bats better at the time come playoffs. Simple as that. Hell with these three teams, the setup men may not even be needed much if at all in a few games

soriano saved 42 games last year for the AL east champs.......he has given up 1 run since coming off the DL over a month ago...... you dont know much about robertson? best ERA for any reliever in the AL, best k/9 strikeout rate, all star

Only thing Kinsler and Cano have in common is they play the same position....other than that, they dont compare, 2 different players at the plate. Kinsler is the second best leadoff guy statwise this year, and Cano is imo, the best hitter in baseball. Is it just me, or does Cano make everything he does look easy?

he's got one of those swings where everything is fluid, but he makes those slow trots to first miserable as a Yanks fan lol (he barely runs out grounders and would've been safe a handful of times with some effort lol)

But I agree, I think he's easily a top 5 hitter in baseball

that is not true i watch every cano at bat has ever had in the majors and its true he doesnt SPRINT out every single ball but also the fact that sometimes he knows hes out and has no chance, there hasnt been a play i can remember where he wouldve been safe if he sprinted out of the box

SERIOUSLY, I can playthese lines with ACE pitchers and win, show some balls and play -1.5 rl on these favs, not the other way, or impress me with ML wins or total wins.If people follow, you expect them to lay 4k to win 500, or even 1k to win 125, SERIOUSLY
