I like Pointwise but always notice they predict many scores to be TOO HIGH.

For example this week:

Tenn/NM State 61 total, predicts 81
Ga Tech/BC 59 total, predicts 77
ILL/Md 53.5 total, predicts 73
Duke/UVA 58 total, predicts 77
Missouri/Miss St 51 total, predicts 72
Memphis/ECU 60 total, predicts 87
that would indicate they like the over in those games. :)

College Football Week 11 Misleading Final Scores

  • Kent State out-gained Ball State 301 to 238 yet lost 17-13. A 1-0 turnover ratio, and bad red zone got the Golden Flashes.
  • Marshall out-gained James Madison 414 to 409 yet lost 35-23. They won the turnover battle 1-0, but poor red zone and special teams got the Herd.
  • Liberty out-gained Missouri State 398 to 332 yet lost 21-17. A 2-1 turnover ratio got the Flames.
  • UAB out-gained Rice 315 to 232 yet lost 24-17. They won the turnover battle 0-1, but five sacks and 11 penalties blazed the Blazers.
  • TCU out-gained Iowa State 432 to 272 yet lost 20-17. A 3-2 turnover ratio, poor special teams and bad quarterback play got the Horned Frogs.
  • Kansas out-gained Arizona 369 to 323 yet lost 24-20. Equal turnovers at 0, but poor red zone efficiency got the Jayhawks.
  • Oregon out-gained Iowa 373 to 239 yet only won 18-16. They won the turnover battle 1-2, but poor third down efficiency and special teams got the Ducks.
  • Auburn out-gained Vanderbilt 563 to 544 yet lost 45-38. Overtime and 12 penalties got the Tigers.
  • Stanford out-gained north Carolina 320 to 253 yet lost 20-15. A 2-1 turnover ratio got the Cardinal.
  • Texas State out-gained Louisiana 528 to 384 yet lost 42-39. Equal turnovers at 2, but the worst red zone defense in history got the Bobcats.
  • San Jose State out-gained Air Force 435 to 302 yet lost 26-16. A bad 3-0 turnover ratio got Sparty Jr.
  • Virginia out-gained Wake Forest 327 to 203 yet lost 16-9. A QB injury, and terrible red zone got the Wahoos.
  • Washington out-gained Wisconsin 251-205 yet lost 13-10. A 2-0 turnover ratio and poor weather got the Huskies.

Hopefully you have read the back story about NC and Phil its not a pretty one. Thumbs up for the bookies that's about it. Let me just give you
2 quick tidbits. 1) At one time Phil had his employees punch out to use the bathroom. 2) He didn't like to use Hawaill games because they were too late for him to watch when at home. Savage will agree that I am the expert on NC and their doings.
