Go with the thunderbolt. I got the EVO 4g about 2 months ago and LOVE it. The thunderbolt & evo are basically the same phone. I am in the real estate/building industry and I am on my phone non-stop. Havent had an issue with the battery so far. Turn off the gps & wifi if not needed and that will save your battery big time. I normally get a new phone every 18 months and this EVO is the best I have ever had. Last phone was iphone 3g and it is not even close to being near the phone this EVO is. Android market kicks Apple ass now. Thank me later.

Sounds good to me. Might use the WiFi here and there, but no need for the GPS

Thanks

While we're on the subject of smart phones I have a question. I want to purchase the Nokia N8 "unlocked" from amazon. I've been told it's possible I won't be able to use the internet on this phone. Anyone with knowledge on the subject I appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

So you saying that if you were getting a New Phone Tomorrow, it would be the Thunderbolt.......

well i 100% would stick with android.. im SOLD on their products... right now i have droid X and i am very impressed. once phone is rooted and given a speed boost its near the thunderbolt's intial release anyway.. so it would be tough for me to buy a thunderbolt with a droid x in hand.. but yes if i was a new customer and had both in front of me and owned something non-android.. i would choose thunderbolt TODAY.. but with that being said droid and all phones are coming out with new shit each day.. its amazing really what happens and the new features that come out.

in my current situation im glad im "stuck" with droid X for another 18 months.. why? cuz right now im very impressed and happy.. and in 18months we might have super computer phones so i dont mind watching the phones keep changing while im saving up my 400 :D lol:103631605

Ok, I hear ya

and the only holding me back from getting the Thunderbolt TODAY...or tomorrow is that On CNet they talk about an Upgrade coming.....

I also Never buy the phone when it first comes out.... I like to wait for the 2nd edition . Only because ( as I'm sure you know ) I like to see them fix any Bugs

t-mobile / htc G2 is 4g also, and has a hard keyboard... just fyi

the key /w all android phones is to root em, and upgrade the kernel and rom... that way, as Murph eluded to, you can get it running faster and with more features.

Why would you say that? The fascinate and continuum where great phones with really nice screens.

i have the fascinate.

it took months and months to get froyo.

samsung is slow as hell with upgrades and is flaky with support.

htc is more reliable imo.

the no brainer phone to get, which i havent seen mentioned here, is the nexus s 4g.

yea it is samsung, but its the official google phone.

meaning it will be the first to get the new versions of android.

Not sure how technically inclined you are, but the xda developers forum is great - has a subforum for pretty much every android phone.
