White Sox +107
We really like the home team today off a day rest. Giolito is a home/away pitcher. His last 5 home games, he’s giving up an avg of 0-1 runs, with 1 game of 3 runs. On the road he has struggled lately but he’s back where he succeeds and the cubs have been horrendous on the road this year. Lester on the road, his last 4 games he’s given up 4,6,7, and 5. This is the game the White Sox needs to steal at home.
Let’s go!

Unfortunately Im on the Cubs in this one. I've been riding Giolito all year, taking him 1st 5 and game. Its been very profitable. I feel he struggles today, but that doesn't mean Lester doesn't get rocked either. I've been looking at this total and I feel the under too easy to take. Gio doesn't give up much, but 9.5 o/u. Looking at this I feel books are begging you to take the under. I'm considering the over for 2-3 units. Do you have any insight on the total?

I totally agree with you. That over under is pretty high, but it tells me that Lester can get rocked and I’m banking that gio plays well
like he does at home, but the line can imply both pitchers getting rocked today as well.

Thank you sir and GL. I ended up taking the over as the 2nd leg of an "if win or push" with Astros over 5 First 5.

Astro’s -125
Based on pitching, people will back Lynn here. This line seems off to us, Valdez has been rocked lately and he may only go a couple Innings. With an over under of 6 in the first 5, it implies Lynn to have an off game. If he was going to be lights out the line should sit even money or the Rangers slightly favored but the Astros are favored -120 for the 1st 5, and goes up to -125 for the full game. We trust the Astros in this one with a line like this. Post all star break, let’s do this!

Padres/Braves Under 9 -120
We believe the bats will come out sluggish today. Acuna off HR derby and All Star Game, east coast to west coast late night start, Padres off beating up the Dodgers but been relaxing and resting at home for a few days and now getting back in it. We also don’t love the bottom of padres batting line up today, we don’t see them doing much. Should be a tight low scoring game in our eyes

Giants +111

Brewers are just 2-6 in July and haven’t found their groove.
The bottom half of their starting lineup shouldn’t produce much for them today with Mad Bum on the mound. Giants are 6-1 this month and getting some good run support. We will take the road dog today.

Astros -131.
The Rangers are off a walk off and winning 9-8 and now going for the series today. They are starting their all star pitcher and they are dogs at home again. All-Star Minor is 8-4 with a 2.54 ERA, he is 3-0 with a 2.18 ERA over his last six starts, limiting opposing batters to a .174 average. Why is a a dog and not even money today? Something off about this line. Miley is off two solid outings giving up 1 run each. The Astros are favored -120 in the 1st 5 today which is pretty surprising to us. They are also -175 to score first which is huge. Vegas is implying a possibility that Minor will struggle post all star game. Another thing that caught our eye is that the RL is juiced really low for the Rangers, at -130 giving you a whole +1.5. Seems like they are looking for some RL money on the Rangers today, and the public is budging, especially after seeing them beat the Astros outright the first two. We are taking the Astros good luck.

You have no Trout starting and a pitcher who is 2-1 with a 1.69 ERA in three career appearances against the Angels and they are only laying -130. In addition, Canning is off a game giving up 6 runs and only going 3 innings. He’s had an extended break but the Astros look in line to take this game today but the line doesn’t represent that strongly. It’s pretty cheap, so that’s why we are on the Angels tonight. Let’s do this!

Padres/Marlins Over 8 (even)
It’s never good to take Public dogs and today we have one with the Marlins. The Marlins are 2-8 in their last 10 games as home dogs. The Marlins took 2 of 3 in San Diego earlier this year and is starting their pitcher who is killing it this year, with a 1.24 ERA. The line is very short today, and I haven’t seen the public in love with the Marlins all year and this could end up dangerous today. If you like the Marlins, then you would lean to the under, but we believe the Padres off a day off, will come out swinging. They are 6-3 to the over after a day off and is 7-5 SU. The Marlins are 14-30 as home dogs, Yamamoto could pitch well but it’s the Marlins bullpen who will give up runs today. He’s only lasted 4-6 innings in his last 3 games. Allen has had a lot of rest and practice for today’s start. This is also Machados homecoming where he graduated high school in Miami and the team will be fired up to play their first game in Miami. I know they are off a 3 game sweep but we believe the Padres will rise up and Machado will be hungry today to get his first home run at Marlins Park. Let’s go! Good luck

Rockies -132
Perfect bounce back spot for the Rockies. Pomeranz excels at home but he is a different pitcher on the road. In his last 4 road starts, he gave up 7 to the Dodgers, 8 to Baltimore, 7 to the Reds and 2 to the Dbacks but only went 4 innings to AZ as his pitch count go up to 96. SF has been playing very well but is still a dog today for a reason. We will take the home team tonight, let’s go!
