New Mexico Bowl

View attachment 19144

Hawaii vs. Houston

Suggested Line 1: Houston -5.21
Suggested Line 2: Houston -4.93
Suggested Line 3: Houston -4.99
Suggested Line 4: Houston -4.22

PLAY: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors +7 (10 Units)

My goodness the line is dropping like a sack of bricks in the ocean and there is nothing any amount of money on Houston can do about it in this game. This is usually scary in the NFL. Good example is when New England was being absolutely hammered (2-3 points worth) close to a few hours before kickoff with Miami last weekend and ended up losing. However in college this usually means something. Someone knows something. My system was already calling for a play on Hawaii and I'm a bit upset I didn't grab the +10.5 but that would have possibly kicked this off into FADE territory so we are good now. It looks to me like the books need some action back the Cougars way and dropping this line hoping they get it. Hawaii traditionally plays in their own Bowl Game at Home on Christmas Even but that wasn't possible this season so they are back on the mainland trying to finish the year with a winning record after a slow start. Neither team played more than 8 games and but both played a few weeks ago and should be ready to go for this game. Houston comes into this game having lost 3 of their last 4 games overall while Hawaii lost 3 of their last 5. Both teams struggle away from home going 1-2 SU each on the season. Hawaii is coming off an incredible offensive performance against UNLV in their regular season finale and they are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games coming off a game where they had 450+ total yards of offense. Houston on the other hand is only 2-6 ATS in their last eight games versus Mountain West Conference opponents and they are 0-4 ATS in their last four games played in December including their regular season games this season. Hawaii has the offensive weapons to continuously make plays against the #90 ranked points defense in the Country. I think a lot of people also don't realize this but Hawaii has the #20 ranked pass defense in the Nation and they struggle against the run uniquely. That's bad news for a Houston team that is only ranked #75 in rushing yards per game. Hawaii keeps this game close with all their experience playing on Christmas Eve and I'm calling for a straight up Dog win today. MELE KALIKiMAKA to all!

Trend of the Game: Hawaii is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games coming off a game where they have 450+ total yards of offense.

Hawaii 34, Houston 26

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAVE A SAFE NIGHT!

Technical Question Flava.
First Merry Christmas to you and to all!

Im curious if you could possibly explain why you found Nevada as a "Suggested Line" point spread favorite on Nevada as a +1 point dog for your example. While you couldnt find it on Hawaii as you predicted Hawaii as a SU winner?

Instead of having the "suggest line" -4.22 to -5.21 on Houston, your the system says Hawaii is the SU winner, Wouldn't there be "Suggested Line" numbers on Hawaii that are better than what Houstons "Suggested Lines" were?

In addition, I would think there would have to be a way to actually post "Suggested Lines" on Hawaii regardless if they are the dog or favorite when they're actually a SU win Projection?

If you simply had made Hawaii as a 3 point favorite, Im curious if you could post "Suggested Lines on the game with lines being reversed.

If you dont mind offering an answer on these questions, I believe I could uncover why some games lose, that are not related to turnovers. Especially in the NFL where any week the System goes 4-4.

Thanks in advance my friend.

Hey G-Man. The only part of my system plays that are related to the system are the actual play itself based on the 4 suggested lines. The "Trends" and predicted "Final Score" are not something the system spits out. I just add those for fun to my writeup and they are my predicted score with actual game trends. Hope that answers your question. I've always been a believer that if you are betting on an underdog you better like them to win straight up. Good luck today and Merry Christmas to all!

Camellia Bowl

Marshall vs. Buffalo

Suggested Line 1: Buffalo -8.97
Suggested Line 2: Buffalo -9.12
Suggested Line 3: Buffalo -9.33
Suggested Line 4: Buffalo -9.56

PLAY: Buffalo Bulls -5.5 (10 Units)

The Buffalo Bulls have one of the most interesting offenses in the Country but the question coming into this game is can they score any points against a very stout Marshall defense. Based on what we saw in the Conference USA Championship Game, something is wrong with this Marshall team and I don't think enough time has elapsed (one week) for things to change drastically. Had they had 3-4 weeks to prepare for this Bowl Game maybe they could have fixed their issues on offense (13 total points scored in their last two games) but this is not enough. My system is picking Buffalo to show up for this Bowl Game and win big. The Bulls are coming off an extremely disappointing MAC Conference Championship Game loss to Ball State which just so happened to be their first loss of the season. Buffalo has so much talent on the offensive side of things and I just don't see them going out without putting together some kind of comeback before the season ends. This is a great spot to do it and again the Bulls have the offensive weapons that Marshall doesn't. It has also become apparent in 42 points allowed in their last two games that Marshall's defense can't always carry them. Marshall has for a long time been a very good Bowl Game team when it comes to spreads but they are 0-5 ATS in their last five games coming off a straight up loss and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games coming off a game where they scored less than 20 points. Not good. Despite the loss to Ball State the Bulls offense was on fire and they are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games coming off a game where they had 450+ total yards of offense. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a winning record on the season and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a Favorite. The Bulls are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight games versus Conference USA opponents and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games dating back to last season. I know the public is on the play big time but so is my system and I'm following the hot hand.

Trend of the Game: Buffalo is 7-0 ATS in their last seven games coming off a game where they managed 450+ total yards of offense.

Buffalo 43, Marshall 24

I have to admit that was a tense ending. Lol.
But the way this bowl season has been going so far you could almost see it coming, and it was particularly satisfying when it did.
Cheers!!
