The day has finally come when we get some Bowl Games between Power 5 Conference schools and even though the Bowl Game schedule has been significantly cut down of total games, this game marks the beginning of the fun bowls. My system is picking Miami-Florida to not only cover as an Underdog but to win this game. Both schools managed to get 10 games in this season which is a miracle and for as hot as Miami was to start the season they kind of lost their way in mid-October and struggled at times but they finished the season on a 5-1 run with wins over Pittsburgh, Virginia, NC State, Virginia Tech and Duke before getting blown out 62-26 by North Carolina on December 12. This is no doubt fresh in the minds of so many bettors but having said that don't forget Miami is playing in their home State of Florida for this game. Oklahoma State looked great the last time we saw them blowing the door handles off of Baylor 42-3 but not too many were on them in that game. Anytime people expected the Cowboys to play well they disappointed. Shall I give examples? The losses to Oklahoma in Bedlam, Texas in Overtime and TCU on the road and even the game they barely beat Texas Tech 50-44. They come into the Bowl Season 1-5 ATS in their last six games and are without RB Chubba Hubbard for this game. The Cowboys have been a very good Bowl Game team the last four years but they were only 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a Favorite this season and they are going up against a well prepared Miami team that has been itching to get back on the field after the embarrassment against UNC in their season finale. As a matter of fact Miami is 6-0 ATS in their last six games coming off a game where they allowed 40+ points in their previous game and they are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an Underdog. They are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight games coming off a straight up loss of 20+ points and 5-0 ATS in their last five games after allowing more than 200+ rushing yards to an opponents in their previous game. I think D'Eriq King has a great game and the Canes get back on track to end the season with 9 wins under Manny Diaz.
Trend of the Game: Miami-Florida is 6-0 ATS in their last six games after allowing 40+ points in their previous game.
Miami-Florida 42, Oklahoma State 16
