R7 - #7 Braciole (4-1) placed $4.90

FG
R3 - #5 Izeondec (9-2) placed $3.80

TAM
R1 - #4 Luvisanaki (6-1) 3rd

Friday the 13th reared its ugly head as the 2nd placed finishes owned the day. Could have easily been a killer afternoon.

1/14 SATURDAY

AQU
R2 - #6 It's Viper (3-1) first time lasix, pace scenario fits, and a serious jockey upgrade.
R9 - #2 Complete Agenda (8-1) does his best work at the big A and makes 2nd start for Ms. Rice. Lezcano jumps ship for the Maker chalk, but he looks like a bounce candidate to me.

FG
R3 - #3 Realitos (9-2) seems like a suspicious drop, but Geroux stays, so I'm a believer - wire to wire.
R6 - #8 Blame Day (3-1) my pick of the day - I just can't picture him losing.
R7 - #3 Nelson Avenue (7-2) that first try going long was impressive. who knows where his ceiling is, but I think it's higher.

LRL
R4 - #7 Dart (8-1) coming right back 6 days after being claimed. the last time a trainer brought him back on short rest like this he got the win.

TAM
R1 - #6 Stay Home (6-1) the 9 year-old gets the jockey upgrade today and will finally get a fast track. quite possibly needed that last race off the layoff - expecting a big run today.
R6 - #5 Armstrong (6-1) If Gallardo is smart, and he is, he'll sit behind the speed (which is sure to break down), and roll home in the stretch.

1/20 FRIDAY

FAIRGROUNDS
R1 - #6 Blushinstreetdevil (4-1) looks to have a clear early speed advantage.
R2 - #2 G's Law (10-1) looks sneaky, the #7 should romp, but why enter him for $15k? something smells rotten in Denmark.
R3 - #4 Miltontown (8-1) always gives a top effort off the freshening.
R4 - #4 Booster Shot (3-1) gets Lasix for the first time which hits at a 20% clip for Stall with a positive ROI.
R5 - #1 Righteous Freedom (5-2) speaking of the big L, 2nd time on the drug works well for Roussel runners and this one gets the rail - inside speed has been nails on dry tracks so far this meet.
R6 - #5 Oath of Allegiance (5-1) making 3rd start at FG and finally gets a dry track. Graham stays, which I like.
R7 - #8 Silver Galaxy (6-1) In 19 lifetime races, he's only tried grass once. Gets claimed by Hartman in last and is promptly sent to the green stuff. Hartman is a shrewd trainer - looks interesting enough to take a shot.
R8 - #8 Complex System (3-1) once upon a time somebody really liked this guy. $210k auction purchase can now belong to you for just $5k. Even if he's unsound he should be able to mop the floor with this field.

1/21 SATURDAY

Gulfstream Park (nothing less than 6-1 today)

R1 - #4 Hot Bottom Girl (30-1) I love when a useless trainer lures a top rider. Dam has dropped two turf winners from three starters. Won't get 30-1, but should go off at double digits.
R2 - #2 Double Tough Tiger (8-1) The even money favorite (Mr. Tito's) will not win this race. The #2 looks logical as a challenger.
R3 - #6 King D'Oro (12-1) finally gets grass in his 4th career try - this is where he should do his best work. JR thinks so, too.
R4 - #4 Inevtable Connection (6-1) took to the GP all-weather surface like my wife to Chanel. Will be going fast and furious.
R5 - #10 Friendship Road (8-1) tough time finding a competitive longshot in this race. Irad's mount looks unbeatable, but if she falters...
R6 - #7 Roaring Forties (8-1) has shown some grit against tough fields in Canada, you never know how he'll take to this GP course. I think Saffie's horse is the one to beat, though.
R7 - #10 Astroturf (20-1) previous tries at this level on all-weather have been very competitive. Too competitive for a 20-1 horse.
R8 - #3 Fort Wilderness (8-1) gets Lasix for second start, and gets to go on the turf (which should be the preferred surface) after a nice run on the tapeta in debut.
R9 - #1 Newbomb (12-1) very inconsistent ridgeling has run at seemingly every track on the east coast. Lures the "other" Ortiz, who has won with him at Saratoga at today's distance. Wouldn't be a surprise.
R10 - #10 Feel The Beat (6-1) hate the post, but Irad should be able to overcome it.
R11 - #4 Derzkii (12-1) best results are on grass, if he's forwardly placed he can be dangerous.
