The Bowl System needs at minimum a Four Team Playoff, and it may not even be fully equitable, probably more like an Eight Team Playoff.

Michigan beat an overrated Notre Dame for their signature win, wasn't impressive versus Vandy(neither was Fla), and has not been impressive for a month now against weak teams, barely doubling up against a soft schedule all year, is outpassed almost weekly the entire year..they are fooling the nation..very good..not great!

I'm not sure that Michigan can beat Fla, Tex, Aub, Cal, LSU on neutral field.

The date of the loss matters in the BCS? I didn't know that. I still think if OSU loses they are in. If Michigan loses, probably not, but they should be IMO unless they get dominated.

I agree with you on this one K. I have always wanted a playoff. However, given the NCAA's ability to make everything about money and TV time, I can see it spinning dangerously out of control and ending up like the NBA playoffs or something. I wish there was a way to have an independent body design a playoff system.
I also would love to see 2 Big 10 teams in the title game, but we all know they will never do that no matter what the record. That being said, I can't see an undefeated Rutgers going to the title game either. Its as much about TV ratings as it is about the better team. I figure they will find a way to get one of the better known teams like Texas, USC, etc. in there.

The playoff system is already in front of their eyes but to blind to see it. You take the 4 BCS games you have now and use them to get to semifinals. This way your only adding 3 games to the total schedule. Everyone still plays there way into the BCS games, Confernence champ, at large, and go from there. This way the other BCS games actually mean something. Right now they don't, just 3 meaningless exhibition games that nobody even remembers 15 minutes later.

Exactly. They are exhibition games, just like Rutgers' entire season. What a joke. And these dumbasses would make more money and still preserve the bowl system if they did exactly what you say. And so many people have suggested the exact same thing for 10 years now. It's not a hard concept. The NCAA is braindead.

Best avatar ever? Pretty sure that award would go to you, my dear. I'm sick and can't get over the crap that I watched today with that Illinois game.

I agree.. As much as I love my trojans, I think ND beats them as well. Already planning on putting 1.5* on the ML...

Notre Dame will win the game if it's close.. Luck of the Irish..:toast:

Pathetic-ass Washington that took USC to the buzzer losing AT HOME to the worst 1-A team in the country.

Mighty Cal struggling to get by Arizona

USC's supposed tough schedule looks weaker by the game

Why can't you pick away at every conference out there. Big 10 is awful and SEC looks weaker with every game. Big 12, Big East, Acc are pathetic too. Matter of fact College football is way down. None of these teams including Ohio St could carry USC's jockstrap the last 5 years.

So I suppose Illinois giving Ohio St and South Carolina giving Florida a hard time are all of a sudden good teams now.

And now will we still hear USC naming Cal when they run off the list of their "tough home schedule"
