here's hoping i do just half as good as what i did last year in Omaha. this will be my one thread for the entire baseball run thru omaha

I am going with 3 regional picks (For the record i like my Titans to win our regional - but NO WAY i am laying -800 so PASS at that price). i don't see a price for the Atlanta Regional (Ga. Tech the #1 seed and National #2 seed) but knowing how Tech gags in the post-season it will not shock me to see them lose the regional - maybe to South Carolina

Corvalis Regional: Oregon State -250: NOT sure how good they really are - but they are in a regional with 3 stiffs (UVA, St. John's and Ohio State) and the site advantage will also be HUGE for Corvalis is in the middle of nowhere - especially for 3 schools coming a LONG way away - the closest school to what amounts to Portland, Oregon - is Columbus, Ohio - and that has to be a few thousand miles away as is) and I can't see them losing to OSU in G1 and i am not sold on UVA or St. John's. Oregon State will win its first 2 games and set up a "we gotta win 1 - they gotta win 2" situation and Oregon State will not lose 2 in a row to the 3 stiffs in Corvalis

Long Beach Regional: USC +500: In every objective category out there - USC is the best team in this regional - not by much - but they are. what hurts is that Long Beach gets a "gimme" first game meaning they can - and probably will - rest their #1 starter and save him for G2 against the USC/Pepperidge Fram game winner while these 2 have to throw their #1 started in G1. i am not sure how much Pepperidge Farm left on the field last week in winning their Conf tourney while LB and USC rested. AT THIS PRICE - USC has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much value to pass up - and i won't.

Tempe Regional: Arizona State +150: The winner of this regional (hopefully) gets to come to Fullerton next week for the Super Regional. Coastal Carolina is the #1 seed here and ASU is #2 but i am convinced that ASU is every bit as good as "CC" especially in the heat of Tempe and i am not 100% convinced "CC" will beat UNLV in G1 friday. ASU coach Pat Murphy is a world class motherf****r and i would love to see him get beaten here. but realistically - he won't. he will choke NEXT round as is usually the case - NOT this one. i want to see Coastal Carolina "prove" it to me on the big stage - i don't think they can. ASU uses HFA to win the regional and have its season end @ Fullerton for what i believe would be the 3rd year in a row.

To recap my 3 regional picks are:

Corvalis Regional: Oregon State -250
Long Beach Regional: USC +500
Tempe Regional: Arizona State +150

USC's "ISR" (too long to explain - but like the T25 ratings - the higher rated the better is 5th overall, LB is 7th and Pepperidge Farm is 10

SoS is: USC #1 (as in they played the TOUGHEST sked IN THE NATION), Long Beach #3 and Pepperidge Farm #10

to me - this is a toss-up regional and taking +500 when LB is -125 and Pepperidge Farm is +125 is just too much value to pass up

Of the above plays, I would rank them in this order as far as Strength of the Plays:

Oregon State -250 (Sorry Bobby Bryde - St. John's is garbage)
ASU +150
USC +500

VERY confident OSU cashes
confident ASU cashes
whatever happens to USC won't shock me at all - as i said - USC is nothing more than taking what i feel is a dog that is priced at least +300 higher than they should be. if USC was +200 i am not so sure i'd take them - but at this price i am "forced" to do so

One play for Friday (Line from Bet Canadian)

Cal State Fullerton -170 (Harvard) tonite

we aren't throwing our #1 guy (saturday) but a #6 NATIONAL Seed against a team lucky to be in the tourney and only laying -170 is a JOKE

this line should be -470

fullerton was -400 over san diego state when we played on espn

if SDSU and Harvard played - SDSU comes at least -150 so this line is a JOKE!

UNLOAD on the Titans

Cal State Fullerton -170 and I'll make this my "TOP RATED Regional Play" and as such - I'll make this a 2-unit play

WHEN this line goes up and up and up - bet it up to -250 with 100% CONFIDENCE and still unload on it

if it goes to -300 still play it w/confidence but for not as much)

Real Quick - that Fullerton game is sked to start @ 8P (PDT) on ESPN U

One more GIMME for today

4P (PDT)

Florida State -210 (Army)

This is nothing more than the Christians and the Lions in different Jerseys

FSU DESTROYS Army in a game that won't be close

and one more NON-Gimme

Long Beach -165 (Rhode Island)

LB is NOT throwing their #1 guy - saving him for Saturday - but the #2 guy for LB is STILL better than the #1 guy for LB - who will win a typical low scoring game for them - maybe 4-1

ASU has to get by ECU.....Whilst ECU may not be as good as last year's team (They lost 8 guys to the draft, and 3 of their aces were hurt this year) they WILL give ASU a run for their money. I promise you that!
Other picks look solid

will they win? YES - but something about Texass turns me off and not gonna lay that much wood with either one

and fullerton is now up to about -245 - which is where this line should have OPENED! for the books to open fullerton under -250 was STUPID and now they are paying for it - which they should. i would have loved to have been in the meeting of the "minds" when the talk was made about setting fullerton -160 to open. books have to know where the money will come in and my 7-year-old nephew knew EVERYONE would pound fullerton

Thanks Winky, I got down on the Fullerton at 230 for $500 and they jacked it to 260. Tough too get a couple grand down on the same game when they jack it up 30 cents after you bet it.

Is anyone besides pinnacle showing lines on these games that you know of?

Yeah, comeback of +260 on Harvard, still managed a slight scalp with that huge spread.

Yahoo has the audio feed of the game on their sports section....

Florida state is playing pathetic they can't get a hit against an offensively challenged Army team..

They only have 2 hits so we are lucky to be tied at this point...
