Stay off of the Sidewalk next time and you won't be so obvious.

im sure you fine gentleman can help me with a defense that will work...I was going over the top of a hill on the way down the car speeds up when im braking to slow down there is a cop coming the other way...then bammo ticket time for going 48 in a 35....surely I can mount some defense here?? there are no extra court costs that can be applied if I lose..

any suggestions from you fine gentlemen is appreciated

thanks

Just by showing up there is a 75% chance you will get your ticket reduced to over the speed limit by less then 10 mph and only 1 point on your license instead of 2.

The real damage is not the fine but possible increase in insurance rates that may come later as a result of speeding ticket.

wil.

If you change insurance companies when your current policy expires tell the new company that you don't have any tickets on your record; they'll probably buy it. I've done it numerous times and have yet to be called on it.

The issue you should be thinking about Dante is not the issue about the ticket. You should pay that. (If you go to court and lose, you will be accessed a court cost plus the fine amount). You should call the number on the ticket and ask if you can take the driving class so there will be no points applied to your license. That will keep your insurance rates down and save you money in the long run.

The last ticket I received, I look an online class and mailed the certificate in with the fine money and the points were kept off my license.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER pay the ticket that you were issued.

It's a game-show up for court & accept the plea that they will offer you(to not have to go to court-they are most likely severely overloaded).

If you have a legit case(this one is not IMO), take it to court. Otherwise, just take the plea, which is usually 1/4 to 1/3 of the points of the original ticket (and that's what insurance companies crap their shorts over).

This worked for 1 of my employees, maybe try it.

Pay the ticket, but overpay it. Send in an extra $5.00 or something.
The court will then cash it and send you back the overpayment.
Now DO NOT CASH THAT CHECK!!

Supposedly the points and ticket will not go on your record until the file is closed and if you never cash that check it will never be put on your record.

This worked for one of the guys that works for me and that was 2 years ago.

i had the same situation as you journey.....i got a ticket for not stopping at a stop sign.....now i didnt stop, but the cop had no way of seeing the stop line from his position....so i took a bunch of pictures and taped the scene.....the look on the cops eyes was worth it.....the case got dismissed.

wearing a suit is a must.

Old insurance agent told me this and it did work.

Say your ticket is 75 dollars. Overpay the ticket by 5 dollars. The county computer will automatically print out a refund check and mail you back the extra 5 dollars. Do not cash or deposit this check ever. Frame it burn it whatever you do dont cash it.

Until you do the loop has not been completed and so the ticket and points will not be put on your record. Probably saving you more than that 5 dollars in higher insurance rates next year.

Get over it , pay it, and move on, unless you just hope the officer doesn't show up at court. It's worth a risk if you want to show up at court date.

If the officer has a golf game on the day of trial it will be thrown out. Period.

I have had 3 speeding tix, a seat belt violation, and license plate light out tix in the last 4 yrs. My insurance hasn't changed.
