yes respect should be given to those who deserve it. and basically everyone that responded in this thread deserves respect, bar none, including Chop, but he is not the end all be all of baseball knowledge. I respect his opinions and plays but again he is not the definitive authority on baseball capping. No one is.
Cheers

I agree 100%.

Never said otherwise.

You are also one of those great cappers over here.

I think a lot of you guys jumped on Chop for no reason.

There is a reason the books made Lincecum +115 and the line hasnt really budged and Bonds is not in the lineup. If the kid was just some AAA starter facing everyone's golden child in Cole Hamels don't you think you would be paying -150 or more for Hamels.

Now what makes Hamels so special as of late and I am a Hamels homer..He has given up 4er in each of his last 2 outting following that 15k performance but don't you think the kid who was -140 @ ATL, -227 vs. Wash, -141 @ Cinci, and -201 vs. Houston would be eating just a little more chalk if Lincecum was just another AAA pitcher. The truth is he is not and has a shot to do Liriano like things this yr but only time will tell..

With all that said, I am prob not betting the Giants tonight because even a gem from Lincecum don't mean anything with that bullpen and no Barry in the lineup but lay off Chop, he isnt making a bonehead play.

Local paper reports no Bonds tonight. I think they said Feliz in left Todd Linden in center and K. Frandsen at third. Could be a week line-up behind this young stud

Pryor, Hughes, "Daisy Duke", Loriano. Some last, some?. I`ll wait a while before betting the farm especially facing this guy. Just my opinion which at last look we`re still entitled to. IF they both pitch to form, "under" seems the way to go. Also wouldn`t be surprised to see SF hold out Bonds.

Exactly. Not bustin balls Chop, but Hamels had some pretty big hype coming up also. Under or nothing.

What books have 5-inning lines? That may be the best under of all with a 5:05 local start.

might be better to play phillie since it's going to be rookie's major debut...and without bond on the line up....he might not get lots of run support...

not illegal, but 3 pages of people bitching and moaning about lines and "i dont knows" just get redundant

Hello Chop, just took a look at the Giants lineup...and I'm a little concerned now.

Bonds is out, which was already known BUT Roberts is also out AND Vizquel is back in the 2-spot (which imo he has bombed horribly this year, I really thought they were on to something when they had Roberts leading off and Winn following him).

Leadoff guy and best hitter are both off today.

Honestly, I've been following Lincecum a bit here and there also and was pretty surprised he dropped to #10 in the draft. I think he can shut down the Phillies good here BUT I'm a bit concerned about the San Fran offense now, what do you think?

Thanks buddy, good luck today!

I was pretty certain Bonds was out even before making the bet.
But I was not prepared for the lineup they are throwing out there tonight.

If I had it to do over again, this would drop down to a 3 unit play.

Lets hope they can put some runs together tonight.
