this would be a solid play.
... if he werent going up against another pitcher who has a chance to be the next big thing as well.
hamels is a fu.ckin stud.
no reason to rush into a massive bet on linecum. unless you plan on him blowing his arm out next week, he's going to be around for awhile.
but hamels is one of the best values in the majors right now.

What did his semen taste like?

With two threads dedicated to this rookie...he must deal nothing but Aces...

I am considering recording the Sopranos tomorrow night to watch this "HOF Rookie" throw a perfect game.

I already thieved him from the waiver wire in my fantasy league.

No $$$ on him though until I see him throw a pitch.

I think you are not respecting Hamels. Or the Philly Bats. But best of luck.

Agreed...

Hamels is nasty...and...

Who's to say that rookie might be a little bit nervous making his debut on Sunday Night Baseball... in primetime?

I do appreciate the info as I would have really Pounded Philly blind here. At least I know who I am betting against if I do.

Man you guys can bet on who everthe hell you want to. Some of us here(probally most of us) really respect Chops opinion.

Please feel free to post your MLB wagering record right after you make your comment. My guess is it dosent compare with Choptalk's.

Keep up the good work Chop and thanks again for the picks.

I know Dubpoet is one of the talents here, and my comment was not directed towards him.

Just think respect should be given to those who deserve it.

Just a new kid on the block.

Young "Studs" Come & Go

Pryor, Hughes, "Daisy Duke", Loriano. Some last, some?. I`ll wait a while before betting the farm especially facing this guy. Just my opinion which at last look we`re still entitled to. IF they both pitch to form, "under" seems the way to go. Also wouldn`t be surprised to see SF hold out Bonds.

Easy Chopper, I can't speak for everybody else in this forum, but I for one am not dissing you.
I respect anybody who takes the time to analyze a game and put their neck on the line in these forums.

Anybody who knows anything aboout MLB knows about Tim Lincecum and his filthy arsenal, and he may get around the order first time around, but I don't have to tell you about the old adage about 'the second time around the order'
Does this shooting star have the baseball savvy to mix it up when he sees that Philly line up in the 4th 5th and 6th innings.

This ain't AAA anymore, this is 'the show'
Chase Utley, Ryan Howard , Jimmy Rollins and the rest are proven MLB hitters, a big step up from AAA.
Does Tim Lincecum's 100 mph heater have movement? It better, because Howard and Utley know what to do with a 100 mph dead red that is straight as an arrow.

For you to collect your Giant win ticket, two things have to happen.
1) Tim Lincecum has to out pitch Cole Hamels (who struck out 15 MLB hitters in a game 2 weeks ago, and the next MLB hitter Tim Lincecum strikes out will be his first.

2) Giant bats have to get to Cole Hamels, and quite frankly, after Bonds, that SF lineup is soft.

Hey, I'm fading you, not *dissing* you.

Best of luck never the less.

I just wish he was not pitching vs my phillies today. I can only hope cole hamels can match him pitch for pitch or nerves get the best of him. He is supposed to be a great one. Time will tell.
