In the context of this conversation, Wilson is objectively worse than Lamar. Not really close tbh

If Wilson were on the Ravens, would you trust him more or less than Lamar to take the Ravens further into the playoffs? I agree Wilson's skills are diminishing before our very eyes.

If the job was to hand the ball off crisply and let my generational defense win playoff games, then yeah I’d take Wilson there. His handoffs were sick that Super Bowl year

That's not the question though. The Ravens are in the 1st round of the playoffs facing Pittsburgh at home. Do you start Lamar Jackson or Russell Wilson? At this point, which of those QB's do you trust more to make it further in the playoffs?

I thought I answered the question - Lamar

I start Lamar. I trust Lamar more.

Did I just read this correctly . Did you just say Hundley gives them a better chance to win ?

I need to know this before getting a new phone .

You talk as if configuring an offense to match a QBs talents is an abnormal thing.

Any well run team in football is going to configure their team to the skills of the QB

They do it for Jackson , Hurts , even white guys like Allen and Brady as hard as that is for you to believe
I did say it. Hundley is a better QB than Lamar. Not a better athlete, but a better QB. He's so much better in the pocket. Hundley doesn't flinch or fling the ball in the pocket like Lamar does. Just my imo..

If you're in the playoffs and facing Pittsburgh at home, you definitely ran good with seeding lol

They letting the entire AFC in this year? Fuck it all 32

From what I'm seeing this year from Russ you may be right but I think most of his inadequacy comes from his head coach. Neither one of them are taking their teams anywhere anyway.

Russ has been diminishing for a while

Hackett probably sucks, but he didn't force Russ to start 6/20 against a college secondary yesterday

Once Russ started losing a step, he basically became a slightly above average quarterback. It's not like ever really one of those top of the league type guys even at his peak.

Not really sure I could justify choosing him over Lamar. Russ throws a nice deep ball, but so does Lamar. Everything else, Lamar seems to be way better than him

Also worth noting that Russ has never received a single MVP vote, while Lamar has won the MVP

What does winning the MVP do for you if you can't win playoff games?
I think it's fair to say that any MVP winner in his prime is fully capable of being the quarterback of a Super Bowl winning team.....you really think Lamar can't win a playoff game?

And I'm saying this as a guy who unnecessarily needles Aaron Rodgers a lot, an MVP player who regularly comes up short in the playoffs

QB isn't solely how you do in the pocket

That said, Lamar is better in the pocket lol

Okay. Why do you think then the Ravens have opted to start Lamar over Huntley?

Why has there never been a controversy in Baltimore?
The coaching staff believes Lamar and the type of offense they run gives them their best chance to win. They have to believe that , since the offense they run is unique, and at this point , they need to stick with it , instead of scrapping it and going with something more traditional.
They're all in......

I mean they could've used the entire offseason to build an offense around Huntley. He started the final third of the season last year so not like they weren't already making adjustments. Wouldn't be that hard

Contracts with key players could be a reason why they're continuing down this path.. Who knows ?
I think at some point they will give up on this .. or maybe just stay stubborn...
You've probably seen a couple of the classic threads of the past with this topic and know how I feel about it.
My position hasn't changed and nothing has happened to change it.
