Michigan St. LB Ed Davis out for the season with a knee injury

That appears to be a big loss for Sparty:

Davis was Michigan State's most productive defensive player in 2014 according to the points system devised by the coaching staff, starting 12 of 13 games at strong side linebacker. He finished fourth on the team with 58 tackles and third on the team in tackles for loss (12) and sacks (seven).
Davis, from Southeastern High School in Detroit, was one of 11 fifth-year seniors projected to start for the Spartans.

Temple got their leading from 2013 WR Robby Anderson back after he left the school in 2014, Adonis Jennings, who was a 4 star WR recruit who went to Pitt last year transferred to Temple and was granted a hardship to become eligible this year. This should be a big boost to their passing game

Although I doubt if I'll bet the spread (under looks tempting) I have a feeling Texas keeps it within the number. Notre Dame isn't going to out-athlete anybody, especially another Power 5 team. I think both teams play solid defense, and ND makes a couple more plays on offense that is the difference in the game...

Out for season...big loss for Hogs running game even though they have Alex Collins back. Williams was the bell cow.

I just returned from Maui. I was part of a gaming seminar (I lectured on money management), and part of the seminar had to do with the importance of injuries. Here are two perfect examples of what was discussed. Arkansas loses starting RB Williams, who led the Hogs last season, but they did not lose their potent offensive line, so all the Hogs have to do is basically plug in another runner. They may not get the same results as last season with Williams, but the potential loss will be small. Now Washington loses starting Left Guard Charles. Being the only full time returning starter UDub had, this is a big blow to the offense. But before we all go writing UDub off, remember that Charles did not play at all during the Spring or Summer, so the Huskies have had plenty of time to find a replacement.

The difference between the Hogs and Huskies is obvious. Arkansas needs to find someone to put points on the board. UDub needs to find someone to open the door for their RB's and running QB. Who got hurt the most? Washington.

Maui, what a beautiful place. I have been to Hawaii twice and spend two weeks on Maui my first visit. Loved the entire vacation other than thinking about the return trip back to Atlanta. (long ass air ride)

The big island of Hawaii is a must for folks with time to explore....amazing place I made on my second visit. (again, long ass air ride)

Saying this post seems like the promotion of Hawaii....got to have some remorse for Arkansas losing a star RB. The Hogs are going to RUN the ball this season even with this leader going down. Collins is for real and during the spring another back really stepped forward...sorry, can't remember his name.

Friends, don't underestimate this Arkansas team with a 5th year starter at quarterback...do so at your own risk!

Everyone should download Fanly. It's an app on the apple and android network. You can add all the teams you want to "follow" and then every news article about the team comes up on your feed. Its super easy and its great for tracking this kind of information.

Michigan State starting LB Ed Davis is out for the year with a torn ACL. 3rd in tackles last year.
