Hey, the Royals got a steal from my Cubs when they claimed (and played) Andy Sisco. I couldn't believe the Cubs didn't protect him. Might be the worst move Hendry has made. What do you guys think of him, is he for real?

He is very dominant when he "accidently" locates his pitches. He just doesn't have any command at this juncture much like many of their pitchers. They have a lot of guys with real good stuff that are very raw. If some pan out the pitching staff will be a real nice building block. They do have nearly all of the young guys locked up through 2009 and Greinke, Dejesus and buck all through 2010 among others. They are commited to this group of youngsters, lets just hope they picked the right ones.

Look..... The Chicago White Sox Will Win The World Series This Year!!!:103631605

White Sox: 11th in A.L. in batting avg.
11th in A.L. in extra base hits
10th in A.L. in Total Bases.

Key Stat to show why they're successful:
1st in the Majors in L.O.B. (47 more base runners cashed-in than the 2nd best team)

This clutch/timely/lucky hitting has to stop eventually. Sorry, W.Sox fans

Belchone,

For arguement's sake, why don't you put together the record of all the credible teams and lets see what their record is vs .500 or better before we talk about the Cards. If the Cards are at the bottom of the list I will grant your point, but I see no evidence of others to compare at this point.

Records vs. teams .500+ is irrelevant; teams get hot and cold during the course of the season and some go above and then back below .500. Records vs. the playoff teams is a much better indicator; what I'm saying is that just because they have the best record in the NL it doesn't mean they're the best team in the NL. Consider also that LaRussa has taken teams with powerhose records to the playoffs five times ('83 White Sox, '88-'90 A's, '04 Cards) and won it all just once; there's a definite trend there, that being that he isn't a good playoff manager. One more thing: I've always believed that it's much easier to play baseball (and win) when you know you're going to the playoffs and don't have to worry about a tight race which is the case thanks to their weak division; I think that pumps their record up even more.
