SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. -- Two people suspected of stealing several John Deere lawn mowers in Snohomish County have been arrested.
Several lawn mowers were found in the home where the man and woman were taken into custody, said the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began when the county's Auto Theft Task Force received a tip about mowers being stolen from local Lowe's stores.
Detectives identified the suspects after finding an ad on Craigslist and found the mowers in the garage when they searched the home in Federal Way.
The man and woman were released while the investigation continues, the sheriff’s office said.
Charges may be filed by the county prosecutor.
