Ironic that I should read a post like this.......

Happened to me a couple of years ago in a garage out back....was about to walk out of a screen door on one garage when I saw a coon walk out of a nearby tree and cross about 6 feet in front of the door I was about to walk out.....

I let the coon cross....I generally give the right of way to anything that can make me bleed or tremble....decided to chase it away with the garden hose.....damn thing ran across the yard and into a garage that the big door was open on...

Crawled up the wall and into the back of the garage and hid behind a bunch of boxes on a deep shelf in the back of the garage...thought about buying some Barry Manilow music to chase it out.....I think if they ever played it around herpes or aids they'd have a cure.....

Told my roommate about it and we spent about an hour getting that bastard out....mostly using a piece of plastic electrical conduit....moving boxes and prodding around, and in the process pissing off a furball of teeth and claws.....moved some items along one wall to give him a straight shot out, and eventually he took it....

Must have chased that critter clear into Blue's garage.....now I know where that damn thing went.....

Raccon isnt bad eating at all.
Oh wrongamondo. We have bunches of them plus bobcats and coyotes none of these will touch them And they love small dogs house cats and even young skunks. Of course rats and squirrels are bobcat favorites. It has nothing to do with the fierceness of the raccoon, coyotes are a terror when they attack and both of these predators are considerable bigger than a coon.

I guess taste is relative to the taster. My post was to show that other hungry predators find the inedible.

If they are so tasty how come they stay dead on the road so long without a scavenger scarfing up on em.

Possums, however, are tasty.
