Cubs still have the same pitching staff, which is probably good, Got this Fukodome guy, who will do who knows what, stood pat elsewhere.

White Sox got a GREAT SS in Cabrera, 2 great bull pen guys in Linebrink and Dotel and Added Swisher to the OF mix, Props to the White Sox

Jury is out on the White Sox moves. Linebrink sucked last year and Dotel is coming off elbow surgery. Not that Garland is gone, there is a huge hole to fill with Denks, Floyd, etc. Lineup should be better, and they could be a darkhorse to win the division.

The Baltimore Orioles are just plain awful but I will be supporting them yet again this year...somtimes when the team is awful it makes it easier because you expect to be bad...:drink::smoker2:

also got them locked into bookmaker for over 64.5 wins, they are bad but I think they can get over 64 wins

There might not be a more overrated player right now than Dan Haren.

I like what the Dodgers did and they will win the division. Surprise team in the west will be SF. Their outfield defense will be 100% better which can only help Zito and their two young guns.

Brewers lost their bullpen when Cordero blew them off to go with the.....Reds?? Why?
So they picked up Gagne, and two days later he was splashed across the Mitchell Report. Then they picked up Torres from the Pirates, who threatened to retire, but is in camp.
In the first day of camp, promising youngster Yovani Gallardo reports he has a torn cartilage and will miss four weeks. Likely on the DL when the season opens.
Brewers got rid of Jenkins, who was a trooper through all the bad years, but definitely has lost it, especially against lefties. Still an above-average fielder.
Then the Brewers picked up Mike Cameron, who will miss the first 25 games because he's addicted to greenies. Maybe he won't need them if he takes off the first 25 games.
So they have to move Bill Hall from centerfield to third, just a year after they moved him from the infield to centerfield.
Hall will play third, moving Ryan Braun to left, where Jenkins played most of the time. Braun is in the outfield to allow at least three guys to field his errant throws. the guy is an offensive force but committed 32 errors in about 3/4's of a season. Pick him early in fantasy drafts. Might be a 45 HR, 130 RBI type if moving to the outfield doesn't make him a wack job.
Brewers will be a force in the NL if Ben Sheets stays healthy and the bullpen comes together.
With Fielder at first, a healthy Rickie Weeks at 2B (great middle-round fantasy pick who will lead off), Hardy at ss, Corey Hart in RF and Braun, the Brewers will score plenty of runs.
Should be a fun year at Miller Park.

Royals got Trey Hillman who is HUGE. He will bring a much needed winning attitude to town.

Blue Jay fan here....it will be an interesting year but I don't see them being competitive down the stretch with NY or BOS. Big off-seaon move was getting Scott Rolen for Troy Glaus.

Pitching (other than Halladay and Burnett if he can actually stay healthy) is still an issue. Rios needs to have a full solid year, he dropped off big time after the all star break last year.

Still can't believe that piece of crap Gustavo Chacin has his own cologne line.

I like McGowan and Marcum I think they can be good 3 and 4.

anyone think that the Nationals might make some noise this year?

they seem to be finding a lot of guys coming together at the same time, albeit no real stars.... but maybe a decent squad.

anyone from that area stay up with them this offseason?

Just a side note, I think the Blue Jays have 3 pitchers who are #2's at the very worst. You could make a case for Halladay, Burnett, and McGowan all being close to #1's this year. I still think they struggle against the Yankees and Red Sox, but the starting pitching is looking very nice.

they also are creating a good healthy battle for their 5th spot, which should only boast well. Remember, was it 2 or 3 years ago when everyone was touting them as the next great team. Now, alot of their players are getting back healthy. NYY and BOS completely overshadow any other team in that division, which I think gives the BJs good odds. I am thinking they may be one of my futures.

Bottom line if they actually stay healthy this year they have a shot. Eckstein and Rolen are very consistent and should be good spark plugs for their lineup. Reading the reports the team sounds very confident and excited for the season, with Gibbons on a contract year as well.

First one I am taking this year is Toronto.

If Toronto stays healthy they are going to really challenge Boston and New York. They have a great pitching staff, from top to bottom possibly the best in the MLB imo. They have two of the top starters in the league and an awesome bullpen. They have a little depth to work with too this year. They upgraded their batting and have some great fielders to sub in when the situation calls. This team is stacked, and being in Boston and New York's division I don't think hurts them. I think it bumps up their line and gives them more value.

Toronto Blue Jays 35-1
