Why is KQ not suited considered a marginal hand?

I love it....

Its a great hand to open with...its when u start calling raises with it that you get in trouble. If u have a raise in frt of you what hands are u beating? Usually only small pairs to u even have a race against....ur dominated by AQ,AK, ur behind Ax.....about the only hands ur beating are KJ,K10, QJ,etc.

So unless u really have a read on a player its a very dangerous hand to call raises with....

I see your point. I like and do well with it. There is a 13.9% chance that the King will be the top card on the flop

There is a 11.3% chance that the Queen will be the top card on the flop

Making it 25.2% chance you flop top pair with a stong kicker...

Granted there is stonger kickers, but I like this hand...

It's been a while since I've updated...

Poker has become my passion... I play anytime I can (TOURNAMENTS ONLY ) ... freeroll or for $$$.. I HATE online play, and I hate that I hate it....

I've become a strong player with my own skill set.. I wish I knew how to get even better. Feel like I am at a wall of what to do..

Played in a 30 man, $100 buy in tournament ... a BUNCH of very good players, and I finished 3rd... won some races to get that position.. Was small stack, only 2x times the big blind at one point and fought back to chip leader, and was outdrawn at the end.... Still, it was great...

I love poker and tournament play.. I guess Ill just keep playing and hope I keep improving

practice playing 6-9 player single tables to help improve your end game. You also can work on your heads up in those tournaments with a true feel of what to do. If you try practicing by just playing HU games, that wont be accurate because very rarely do u have equal chips to start heads up.
