It happens more often then one might think. It is not necessarily a sixth sense, but after year's of carefully seeing and visualizing games clearly, both before they are played as well as during the game, and not allowing which side your on to cloud what you are seeing, it is not surprising that things unfold exactly as you envision they will. It is a gift my friend and not everyone is so blessed with eyes that can see the truth before it happens. Be thankful that you have such a gift.

my teams always do better when i dont watch. and they do better when i'm productively doing something. if i sit around and watch sports all day and track scores on the internet, i will for sure lose and hate myself for wasting the entire day doing jack and losing money to boot

Yes, it happens a few times per week or month year 'round, as I have always tested to the 99+percentile in high-observationist aptitude tests/macro-observer, worked surveillance cameras before, and I used to have the same ability when studying a schedule loaded with smart-marks(regardless of if games were one-sided, even-split, or which heavyweights were one which sides), thus my opinion was of value to a few offices back when still in the larger game.

I've had an uncanny knack or track-record of I would swear 80+%, when arriving early at college or pro sporting events to call back to family members, with a "feel" for the right side based on the feel of teams & coaches body language, crowd feel/energy, and pre-game biases intermelded.

I absolutely agree with OMT's take, yet also firmly believe it is a gift many more people have, it just takes years to develop it to a high degree, and is an awareness that most never realize is available to them, as most people operate on surface levels of awareness.

I also believe that many that develop this gift(of God), are usually many of your more spiritually awakened or more life-diverse sportsbettors, ones that have knocked some of their earlier myopic gambling-only ways off of themselves.

Sadly though, I can tell when 0-0 or even tied early on often, to a higher degree of certainty, the ones that I will lose more so than the ones I will win, as I'm seemingly more in tune with my pessimism?

Have you ever had a feeling during a bet that you would surely WIN or LOSE during the game and it came to fruition?

I am not talking about being ahead or behind by 20 points but a sixth sense that told you the results in advance so to speak...
Absolutely. I believe that's fairly common.

What is interesting is that this sense or these feelings, do not appear for all the games you're watching, and rarely occurs before the game starts.

One example from the past ... remember that year the Raiders won the Superbowl, and they were the first wild card team to do so? I think it was that year. It was that playoff game in Cleveland, in the snow, the score was Oakland up by 12-10 near the end of the game. The Browns fans were going nuts. It was the Browns on Oakland 12 yard line trying to get closer for the kick. I had this feeling all week long and during the whole game that Oakland would win. I had no bet on, too young at the time. So there I was watching the game on TV, thinking, oh well, sixth sense or not, Browns gonna to win, which was good to me because I really hated the old Oakland Raiders. Then Brian Shipe throws an interception in the end zone, the Raiders storm off the bench to mob the guy with ball. Unbeleiveable, QB threw the game away, the stadium goes silent. You don't know why, it just had to happen!

Also when im playing on party poker I cover the turn or river cards with my right hand to see if I hit my flush or straight.

Adds some suspense to the game.

Same here. It is best if I am able to forget that I even have a wager pending by being engrossed in another unrelated activity all day, too distracted to even think about the wager.

I also have an uncanny ability to pinpoint the end of any winning streak that I may be experiencing by talking, or worse, bragging about my good fortune (or my handicapping ability) to others. Boom, end of winning streak. Pride cometh before a fall, I guess. Best to keep things to yourself.

Polaris, I am a lifelong Raiders fan, thus was in-tune with them and won $500 at a Super Bowl party at age 14, being one of only about 5 of 25 that picked Raiders at all, with a predicted score of 24-10 Raiders(27-10 final score)..the 1981 Wild-Card Raiders are one of my favorite teams and most memorable Super Sundays!

Sipe was good guy, and deserved better in that AFCCG ..thank God for Stickum!

I frequently find while watching a game that if I "expect" something to happen it does happen. I wish I could experience the same expectations before the game starts!

G1 of the recent (and maybe last for some time) Stanley Cup finals between Tampa/Calgary

i took the flames as a decent sized dog

90 seconds into a scoreless game I KNEW my bet was a winner - i had ZERO doubt about it

sure enough - calgary EASILY won the game - which was ZERO shock to me

one other time was Fullerton's first game of the recent CWS against So. Carolina. i knew BEFORE the game even started my titans were going to win the game since we had Jason Windsor pitching and i KNEW what the rest of the nation would soon find out about his abilities since i had seen him pitch over a handful of times during the season and KNEW So. Carolina had NO CHANCE of doing ANYTHING against him - and sure enough - windsor made the cocks look like little leaguers!

the FIRST time was Feb. 24, 1983. actually - i knew for 4 weeks before that. on that day, the unbeaten and #1 ranked UNLV Rebels came to Fullerton to play in out gym and i KNEW Fullerton would win that game - and rather easily at that. i was almost 19 at the time and even though i didn't have anywhere near as much to my name as i do now - i made what is STILL one of the largest bets i have ever made in my life - most of it on "credit" since i knew we were going to win and there was ZERO chance of me having to pay for it later. sure enough we won 86-78 in a game never in doubt for the last 15 minutes of it.

This is great....to always win all I have to do is never answer the phone, stand in the shower during games, do something productive with a piece of paper while peeking with my left or right eye, while riding a Russian lawnmower around the living room and trying not to look at the updated scores on Yahoo....Ken your back in business, i need an appointment.

I sometimes leave a 4ft sandwich on the table untouched until the game is over and this usually works for me. I fukkin stare at it the whole time craving it, but I stick to my ritual and it works when I need a win.

If the game is on TV and my team is losing I will without hesitation go to another TV in the house and watch it there. I cant tell you how many times this has worked for me.

I cant believe I just typed that.
