Just checked the senior commitee is what they call it in the NFL can only pick players who have been out of football for 25 years this year it was pre 1982 players.

So Guy should get in the hall in 5 years when it is pre 1987 players since his last season was 1986.

Lambert (6'5" but only 218) was even light for his era. With Mean Joe and Fats Holmes in front of him what difference did it make. Best team to ever lace them up. I'm gone.

Come on guys. We all know the ball is juiced these days- not to mention the fact that Guy would probably average 60 yards because of all the new domes and the advancement of shoe technology!

In all seriousness, if Jan Stenerud is in, Guy should be as well. Both of their stats look fairly pedestrian compared to their modern-day counterparts, but they both kind of revolutionized their positions.

Well...I have hated the Oakland Raiders ever since I WATCHED The Snake throw that wounded duck that Clarence Davis came down with to end the Dolphin dynasty years...

I cant stand the site or sound of John Madden to this day..

If you never watched the NFL during the Guy years..No offense..Its great to be young..but you are not qualified to speak on the subject of Ray Guy..Stats dont mean shit here...

I HATE THE OALAND RAIDERS...BUT RAY GUY BELONGS IN THE HOF AS A PUNTER...-72...........Ark Monk should be there too..thats a joke in itself...

Legendary punter Ray Guy (who, by the way, should be in the Hall of Fame), is auctioning off his*Super Bowl XI, XV and XVIII rings*on Tuesday, Aug.*9.

Guy recently filed for bankruptcy and was ordered by a judge to sell the rings to raise money to pay off his debts.*

Guy played for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders from 1973 to 1986 and was*named to the NFL’s 75th anniversary team in 1994.

Guy’s rings will be showcased to the public at the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago from August 3-7.

The Super Bowl rings are estimated to sell between $75,000 and $90,000. The ring comes with a letter of authenticity from Ray Guy.

The auction ends Aug. 9 at 5 p.m. PT. Bids can be placed online at www.NateDSanders.com or by phone at 310-440-2982.
