UNREAL:

These morons close my account for winning too much and then steal my bonus. Now I just got another E-mail offering me a great "reload bonus"

Have you got to the bottom of this yet, Fish ?

Halifax-

Have emailed them twice with no reply.

Called them and they said they would pass it on to their general manager to look into.

Going to email them again after this post.

Both books are under the BetonSports umbrella. Even though BoS has an awful reputation, I must say this is the first really bad situation I've seen at Millenium or Gibraltar.

Gib is a BIG BABY book now. Can't win more than two bets in a row or they will run for cover. It's unbelievable how these guys can stay in business other than doing what they did. If a book is going to boot you they should atleast pro rate the bonus or give you back the juice you lost. GIB = BIG wussies

Sr. Muny- I respect the heck out of you and would never doubt you sir.

Your right, I can only go on what they tell me and in fairness to them I really never asked if they were owned by the same owner.......just if they were affiliated.

Even if they are run by different managers and have different policies than one another, if they have the same owner then I would classify them as being affiliated in my book.

Thanks buddy, and like I mentioned, I value your opinion highly.

Gibralter and Mill are not owned by the same people but use the same clerks and staff for a fee.

"Do whatever the F*ck you like. I really don't give a Sh*t what you do".

TK should make sure he takes this to EVERY forum. These guys suck.

Well in any CASE, one would think maybe a call from the SHRINK would be able to clear this up.

Keep up the good work Fishead, and the rest of the MODS.................

Threatening books with posting on forums is more likely to get an adverse respose (as you got) from books, as they aren't and shouldn't be, governed by a non regulated posting fourm.

Again, all I am doing is relating my experience with this book:

1) You can draw your own conclusions
2) You can choose if you want to believe what I am saying
3) I am not posting in an attempt to recover funds from this book (I have already written them off)

So, be your own judge.

It's funny.

I'll see a lot of poster complaints where the first thing I think is "that guy's a scammer" ... and soon after, there are 2 or 3 mods offering to help the guy.

Now in this case, where I THINK the guy is really getting the shaft, there's no moderator within 100 yards of the guy offering to help him. Fishhead sent off a token E-Mail, which may or may not have been followed up on, but that's about it.

And looking beyond "TK", there are probably a lot of people that would like to know if this is the modus operandi at Gibraltar, or if there is more to the story. Not too many people would sign up with them, if this was how they normally handled their affairs.

If I were a prospective customer, it would seem kind of odd to me that Gibraltor would not have responded in a heartbeat to protect their "good name"

Again draw your own conclusions. Around NFL time, I am sure they will be sending out another batch of their "bait and switch" bonus offers. They will send you a real enticing offer (the "bait") then tell you what they really meant when you actually try to take them up on it (the "switch")

If you win, be ready to have the "bonus" removed from your account and be shown the door without warning.

This is not only their MO -- this is what their business model is. This is how they choose to run their business. I am sure I am not the first person that this has, or will, happen to.

Rather astute post there Muny... I'm sure alot of us here don't ask for, nor receive bonuses. I am more comfortable with my money at books(large and small) if I do not receive any type of bonus, and speak with the manager(s) a few times about this. This makes sense from a business standpoint for the books: why give extra out to the people that beat you month-after-month anyway. If my account becomes a risk they do not want, they can pay me and send me on my way.

No. That is not why I posted here. Surprising that after you would read the many posts here you would think that.

Mr Muny, if you had bothered to read what I said, I do not expect to ever receive this money. I have written it off. I am not asking anyone to try to recover these funds for me.My coming into the forum is simply to inform others of what happened to me. If you, or anyone else, thinks their actiosn were ok, fine by me.

Per your definition, anyone coming in here that received a bonus is labled a "bonus whore" as you put it. So anything they say here should be totally dismissed. Mr. Muny, resonable people will read my post and will draw very different conclusions.

Recall, Gibraltor solicited me with a bonus offer, not the other way around. I simply was looking to find a new book to play at. So, if someone offers me a bonus to play and try out there book, I should refuse the offer?? Is that what you are saying? I should tell them that I do not want to be a "bonus whore", please don't provide the bonus. Sorry, it does not work like that.

Mr Muny, its not people like me that are giving the off-shore industry a bad name. Its too easy to use that.

I am informing others what happened to me. And, this includes "bonus whores" as you like to call them.

TK,

Sorry if I came across a bit harsh. But lets face it, more time than not people as yourself who are SHARP so to speak, should not be looking for a BONUS.

I mean you have been around and you have read it time and again in the FORUMS this same situation right?

I suggest staying with the proven leaders such as CRIS, OLY, CASCADE to name a few.

You will save yourself the HEADACHE.

Best of luck..................

Sr. Muny,

Thanks for your sound advice. Point well taken.

But, this does not let Gibraltor off the hook, and I feel its appropriate to inform others on the forums. Simply, no excuse for conducting business in that manner.

That being said, I certainly will think twice before straying off into second tier books. If this is indicative of how they all conduct themselves.
