This should serve as a VERY STRONG WARNING to any current or future customers of Gibraltor sportsbook. If you play here, do so only if you are a LOSER. They don't like people that win. Their MO is to lure you in with a "bait and switch" type bonus then to throw you out (sans bonus) when you win.
I was recently solicited by Gibraltor to open up an account in order to receive a "25% bonus". Again, Gibraltor solicited me, not the other way around. Of course, I decided to find out for myself all the "details" of this bonus. Below is the text of the chat that I had with Gibraltor:
Please wait for a site operator to respond.

you: sending $2K or so
Samantha: Let me see what I cand do
Samantha: How about 15% cash and 10% freeplay, plus the transffer fees as cash in the account for $2K
you: how about 20% cash bonus?
you: plus any transfer fees
you: I am usign neteller (not instant cash feature)
Samantha: If you send those $2k it's a deal!
you: I will open my account with $2.5K if you provide 20% bonus
you: =$3K in the account
Samantha: What you can do is call our customer service department and ask for a sales clerk.

Samantha: One second please
Samantha: There is only one policy
Samantha: Ib order for you not to loose your bonuses you must keep the INITIAL DEPOSIT +FEES and BONUSES in the account for a period of 30 days and roll them over 3 times.
Samantha: You can request your winnings at any time.
you: That should not be a problem at all
you: so should I call Laura now
Samantha: It really is'nt
Samantha: Yes, go right ahead.
you: ok thanks for your help...hope I win!
Samantha: Just tell her that you spoke to Samantha over the chat, and she'll know what to do.
Samantha: Good luck and have a nice evening
As you can see, I was promised a 20% cash bonus for a $2500 deposit. The requirements being that I rolled the money over 3X ($2500+$500 = $3000 *3 = $9000 rollover).
I was lucky enough to have run my account up to $6900 by Friday, 3/26. All of my bets were legitimate bets, with fair lines. I am a big better and bet dimes mostly. I usually win at some books and I lose at others.
On Friday, 3/26, I attempted to sign on to my account. when I did, I received a message informing me that my wagering was suspended. Very puzzling indeed. So, I went back onto chat and was told to call "Erik" the manager. The manager informed me that they no longer wanted me as a customer. When I asked why, he told me that he had a right to refuse service to any customer that he wanted. He did not need a reason. I asked him if I did anything wrong. He said "NO". Further, he assured me that he would pay me my FULL balance of $6900 on Monday, as the payout department was now closed. I told him I did not like getting the boot, simply because I was a winner. His response again was that he fully intended to pay me in full, but he did not want me as a customer and that my account was now closed. I told him that so long as he paid me in full, I would be ok with this.
Well, on Monday I called to get my payout and was told that the payout department was only open from 9-1 EST. I needed to call back.
Today, Tuesday, I called during their "payout hours" and was told to hold. This hold went on for quite a while. Finally, I was told there would be 1) a $45 fee to withdrawal my funds and 2) They would strip out the $500 bonus. I asked to speak to a manager. I infomred the person on the phone (Jake), that I was assured I would receive my ENTIRE balance, including bonus. I objected to them now deciding to retroactively removing a bonus. Moreover, they decided to close my account not me...I had full intention to continue playing here. And, per my calculations I was within $1000 (one bet) of meeting their wageing requirements. Their closing my account is the reason I could not meet COMPLETELY the "wagering requirements". In any case, removing the ENTIRE bonus does not seem reasonable. He told me too bad, I did not meet wagering requiremnts, and they dont want me as a customer. I infomred this gentleman that I did not agree with his policy and did not think other books would treat customers like this. If he did not want me as a customer, then give me ALL my money and I will be on my way. I told him that I planned to inform others as they had a right to know, by posting my experience on some well-known sites. To this he replied... "Do whatever the F*ck you like. I really don't give a Sh*t what you do".
I have received my balance from Gibraltor minus a $45 fee and the $500 bonus. All I am doing now is posting the facts of what happened. I will leave it to others to decide if this is the type of customer service and treatment that they would consider acceptable.
