GetaBet - trouble paying

Getabet gave me the biggest hassle making a withdrawal. They refused by w/d request without a word. When I live-chatted days later they said they had no money in Neteller and could not Fed-EX or bank wire to me until the following weekend (10 days).

After 30 minutes and a copy of prescription.com header on to the chat screen they finally agreed to a partial payment with the remainder two days later.

I got the money finally minus my bonus. I earned the bonus from a deposit 4 months ago and played well more than required.

I'm not going to bother asking about my stolen bonus. I'm just happy to have the money back.

They were a good book while I played there. I never imagined they were having a problem. I guess it takes a withdrawal before you can judge a book.

If you had problems before in Sportbet.com then why would you go to a sister book?

You should ask for your stolen bonus if you earned it. By not paying they are stealing YOUR money. Regarding your other claims;
-ignoring w/d request without a word.
-no money in Neteller
-slow pay-Fed-EX or bank wire to me until the following weekend (10 days).
-stealing bonus money
These are all signs of a book that should be avoided.

It's always the books fault until the dust settles that is when it comes out that the player won't provide documentation or has multiple accounts circumventing the limits getting multiple bonuses etc.

It's a fact that 9 complaints out of 10 in this forum are scammers.

Whynot,

With our bonuses, we ask for a 5x rollover. You did not complete that requirement, thus the bonus penalty. As for the Neteller issue, we tend not to keep large balances in Neteller, and when our Neteller account gets low, we send em another wire and replenish it. Most times, that is not necessary, but occasionally it does cause a delay.

I would like to point out that your payout request was not ignored. It was rejected, as the amount you requested was not available, once the bonus penalty was implemented. You should have received an email stating such. If you did not, I would like to know about it.

As for the Fedex issue, we request our checks on Monday. They arrive and are sent out on Tuesday or Wednesday, at the latest. Which has them arriving on Thursday or Friday. If a check is requested on a Friday, it is not processed until Monday and does not arrive until a week later. We do not send checks or wires out every day, so that might be where the confusion lies.

I am glad that you liked our book while you played here and I realize that it might have been frustrating to not get your full payout at the time of your request. I apologize for that, but as you saw we did pay you as soon as our Neteller account was replenished. Should you change your mind and decide to post up again, please let me know and we can come up with a bonus policy that is better suited to your needs. Thanks and best of luck!!!

Jay,

I appreciate you poppin in here for us. This stuff always seems to come to the boards when I am off or not around, almost like it is planned

(that is a joke, folks). However, that being said, whynot is a regular Joe. I do not believe he is a scammer in any way, just a guy who got penalized for not meeting the rollover requirements. He gave us good action and asked for a Neteller withdrawal. Due to a large amount of withdrawals via that method, we needed to re-deposit into that account, thus causing the delay. Just thought I would clear it up. Take care, brother.

Thanks for stopping by and giving us the low down on the showdown. However maybe to deter this in the future drop the guy an email telling him what happening and maybe offer alternative withdrawal methods or if he insists on the one that is slowed then he will just have to wait.

The same thing happened to Heritage last year I believe and someone came in here crying that Heritage was broke. That was not the case, they just didn't have all the funds in Neteller same as you. Or is it???????????????????????????

It seems one of the two is lying ... er, let me rephrase that .. they are having a difference of opinions.

Whynot says:

I got the money finally minus my bonus. I earned the bonus from a deposit 4 months ago and played well more than required.

I'm not going to bother asking about my stolen bonus. I'm just happy to have the money back.

Jake says:

Whynot, have you got a rebuttal to this statement from Jake ??

Halifax,

I do not think that whynot is lying with intent to mislead, rather maybe did not do the math correctly. He did leave the money in the account for much longer than the 30 days required, he simply did not meet the rollover requirement. As I said, I do not feel he was deceptive in any way, he was just short of meeting the rollover. That is all it was.

I deposited in May. At the time I recorded my deposit bonus offer as 3X. I am normally quite careful about such things.

I see that it is now 5X. I played over 3X but not 5X. My strong belief is that the offer I deposited under in May was 3X. If not, my apology to GetaBet/Jake/Jay and any other GetaBet employees. I have no way to confirm the offer 5 months later.

However, I did find the following post from Jake where he questioned an issue surrounding a 3X bonus. In the post, it sounds as if he is dealing with his own experience. From this one might infer that his book was using 3X at the time.

Poll Question:
A client opens an account with a book for $2500 via Neteller. The book gives him a $500 cash bonus. Policy is 30 days and 3x rollover before withdrawing deposit amount. Client bets the entire 3k the first day, wins, and the next day requests all his winnings...leaving 3k exactly in his account. I would like your opinion:

[This message was edited by Jake on 04-06-03 at 12:52 PM.]
Choices:
The client deserves to lose his bonus.
The client deserves to lose his bonus and the winnings from the bonus
The client did nothing wrong. Pay him.
The client needs to wait 30 days and/or rollover 3x.
The client can only withdraw winnings from his deposit, not the bonus

Jake sounds like a swell guy. But I was not so happy with the fellow I "chatted" with when I was unable to be paid. However, I did get my money. Perhaps the bonus thing is an honest mistake by GetaBet (or myself) based on the time I made the original deposit.

Bottom line is that:
- I could have paid the amount I asked for from my neteller account in one day.
- I could have Fed-Ex'ed the amount I asked for in one day.
- I could have bank wired the amount I asked for from my bank account in one day.

I'm a poor gambler, not a business dependent on money transfer and the trust of their customers, yet I am more liquid than GetaBet. Maybe GetaBet isn't broke, but I suggest they need some new finance people.

Finally, to the 5% of the posters employed by books:
Please lay-off the immediate accusation that anyone who complains about a book is a crook or bonus "whore". Thanks to Jake for defending even an (ex) customer against the knee-jerk attack. I doubt crooks and whores leave their money in a book for 5 months before withdrawing. The immediate pile-on attacks silence the 95% of non-book gambling posters who come here to speak with each other.

Based on other posts by whynot, if I had to bet on it, I would place a SMALL bet that whynot is correct and that the rollover was 3x when he deposited.

Whynot,

At the time of the post you copied and pasted, I was considering changing our bonus policies from 3x to 5x, as we had many people abusing our bonus policies. I will personally track down the email that I sent authorizing those changes, and compare it to your deposit date. Should you be correct, I will immediately credit your Neteller account (or your Getabet account
icon_wink.gif
) with the bonus money.

Guys, I want to point something out here. Neteller has quickly become the most preferred method of withdrawal for our clientele. It used to be WU, but with all the hassles and questions that people have to go through nowadays, Neteller is just easier. We used to keep a smaller balance in Neteller, but recently we have found the need to maintain a higher balance than we have in the past. Unfortunately, whynot caught us in between re-ups with Neteller. Again, my apologies.

Finally, and again, I would like to say I do not feel whynot did anything wrong in any way (checking on the rollover).

Whynot, I hope you reconsider and decide to give us another shot. If you do, please contact me personally. As you can clearly see, my clients are important to me and my company, and I take my business seriously. No matter what happens, I wish you the best, sir.

Jake

so if neteller is the preferred method of withdrawal, what is the preferred method of deposit? You would think that deposits would exceed withdrawals otherwise... well anyway, good luck figuring out how to make sure your players get paid faster, sorry to hear about your neteller problem, sure you guys will get it fixed

Whynot,

Ok, well, here is where I am at:

My first email regarding those changes went out on 5/22, and another went out on 6/2 with slightly different text. I would say it is POSSIBLE that you made your deposit between text changes. Now, I went back and re-added all your wagers and I see that you wagered exactly $40 more than the 3x rollover required, with your last days with us spent wagering very very small to get to the rollover. Furthermore, although you had the money in your account for 3.5 months, you only had 13 days worth of action in those 3.5 months. All that being said, I gotta go with my gut and let the bonus penalty stand (I know how popular that will be here). If you would like to work something out to retain your bonus, please let me know. If not, I hope you understand where we are coming from.

Jake
