how much bonus money are we talking?

was this just a 90 day 10% cd?

Buddyboy,

Surprisingly, preferred method of deposit is still WU and credit cards. The problem is finding credit card merchants that process with a non-coded, AND PAY, keeps getting harder by the day. Go figure.

Just pro-rate the bonus Jake. He may not have given you tons or action, but he did leave thousands of dollars in yor book for months. He should get something. Maybe pro-rated bonus-fees.

Jake,
Are you saying you are keeping his bonus because he played only 13 days in 3.5 months? So your 30 day rule means a player has to play every single day??? So if I play only on weekends I have to play for 15 weekends to get the stinking bonus????

No wonder there are so many unsatisfied customers....

Jake, I'm on your side but that seems harsh. If it was 5X's then thats one thing, you did right by keeping the bonus. However the 13 days of action rule probably won't fly. Especially this time of the year. What if a guy only bets the NFL? In 3 months he will be faced with approximately 12 full days of making bets? I know there is Monday night football and the rest but I'm not sure this is a good "loophole" to raise.

It does appear he was making a concerted effort to only get to this 3X rollover and withdraw but you might be opening up a can of worms here with this new requirement. I'm a big Jake fan but this one might be tough to defend.

There you go again, Buzzsaw. I guess I will simply answer with a NO, that is not what I am saying. I really should not let you piss me off so much, and I do not know why I let you get to me. I guess it is simply that you CONSTANTLY say bullsh!t that you, yourself, do not know personally. Thing is...some people actually believe the things you say...but I guess that is why you get your commission from the players that lose at the books that your site endorses.

RPM contacted me and asked me to clarify. The rules for our site were changed on May 22, in regards to rollover. Whynot deposited on May 24th, thus the 5x rollover applied to him. The "active" rule was implemented on June 2nd. This rule is mainly just used as a deterrant against Bonus Whores. People who are not looking to screw me for the bonus money will never have to worry about this rule.

On another point, I ask WHEN have I ever not been fair with the folks here? WHEN have I ever not responded well to the criticism that we get? You applaud people for not bowing down to threats and blackmail, yet you are appalled when a book chooses to enforce policy. The amount of money in question is not a whole lot, in the scheme of things. For me, this time, it is a matter of principle.

I gotta say, when RPM and Patrick McIrish disagree with me, either I am wrong, or the story was not presented properly. Thus, I have tried to present it in a better form.

I hope that clarifies things for all and gives you a better understanding of my position.

The bonus under discusion is $380.
I made 22 bets since my deposit in May.

The deal offerred was:
1. deposit money
2. play in 3X
3. Keep it in at least 30 days.

1. I deposited
2. I played 3X
3. I kept it almost 5 months (22 bets).

If I made 3 or 4 monster bets, there might be a question of my intent. I made 22 bets over 4 months. That's how I bet. I don't bet every day.

I don't see why there is any question about the payment. But I don't like to beg. I've done all I can do. Law does not apply in this area so we gamblers must share our experiences and judge each book by their actions.

IF the rule changed to 5x on the 22nd, and he posted up on the 24th, seems to me this is just a misunderstanding.

why not just roll the money over 2 more times and get the bonus?

or work out a deal that makes both parties happy....

Well Jake?
You typed a lot but didn't say much except you think I'm picking on you.

Is there any among us that think you should take his bonus because he gave 13 days of action instead of 30? Jay? Anyone? Pat's already given you his opinion.

It's not personal Jake but quit making up the rules as you go or in this case translating them differently. The player met the requirement. Period. Pay him. If you want to change the rules yet again, to "30 days of action" instead of "30 days in the account", then do it. Put apply YOUR rules fairly.. that's not picking on you or even asking too much.

RPM,

That was my intention when I wrote..."If you would like to work something out to retain your bonus, please let me know. If not, I hope you understand where we are coming from."

I would be willing to work something out, as I stated, since I agree that it is probably a misunderstanding.

Whynot,

As I said, if you are interested, please give me a call.

Jake

Buzzsaw,

I refer you to the post that says:

"The rules for our site were changed on May 22, in regards to rollover. Whynot deposited on May 24th, thus the 5x rollover applied to him."

Thanks.

OK. That's fine, keep his bonus then.

Just an fyi, if you could ever smooth out the payment process there these complaints would never even be known. I could name dozens of books that have many more players that have never had a dry Neteller complaint.

Players expect to be paid in a timely fashion when they deposit by Neteller. Books that let their account run dry and make players wait until new deposits come in to get paid are precieved not to care.

whatever happened to giving the benefit of the doubt to the player?
Obviously the player is not bonus whoring otherwise he would have taken his money out at the end of the 30 days not 4-5 months.

I agree with Buzzsaw, think of all the books out there that have vastly more players than sportbet yet you never hear these complaints.

Let me just give you a business tip Jake.
Your actions have probably cost you more than what the bonus was worth in lost business.
You had a chance to look good here by giving the player the benefit of the doubt and you dropped the ball.

Jake:

Normally, I seem to come down on the side of the book more often than not.

However, if whynot slid in under the wire, and indeed signed up with a 3x bonus rollover, I've got to side with McIrish, Buzzsaw, and others on this one. Pay the man his bonus.

I ASSURE you that Jake has given waaaaaay more than he has taken.

Ya know, this is what makes me laugh at some of you guys. If you re-read my posts, you will see that we were NEVER waiting for deposits to come in from other clients (those are another posters words, not mine), rather we were waiting for money to be deposited in our merchant account with Neteller. Money we deposited when we noticed our Neteller was a little low. You will also see that we have, in the past, chosen to leave a smaller amount ON HAND with Neteller. Due to a recent rise in Neteller usage, I stated we also have decided to start carrying larger balances there. I am not going to argue back and forth about this. I will point out the facts.

Our policies changed on May 22. The deposit was made on May 24. Therefore, upon his request, the client is not entitled to his bonus. HOWEVER, AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE...I AM WILLING TO WORK SOMETHING OUT WITH WHYNOT.

Some of you guys don't take the time to read everything and decide to just hop on the bandwagon and make a post that I could have given him the benefit of the doubt...I DID...THUS THE OFFER TO WORK SOMETHING OUT.

Do me a favor...ANYONE...check how many times I have come to these forums AND NOT GIVEN THE PLAYER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT! CHECK HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE CAVED IN, EVEN WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS RIGHT, CUZ THE FORUM THOUGHT I SHOULD GIVE HIM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.

I am a constant poster here. I sponsor contests. I give great bonuses. I, personally, take care of every single client who contacts me. Ask the moderators here what I say when they ask us to sponsor a contest...of any sort. It is always a YES.

So, for my 6 years of doing this, and my 4 years of posting on the Rx, and for all the contests we have sponsored, for all the money we have given away, for all the times I have spoken with you posters individually...HOW ABOUT GIVING ME THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT?

Trust me, let Whynot contact me and I will take care of him...as I always take care of EVERY SINGLE client I speak to.

There, I feel better having said that. I am calling it a night, and will be happy to respond to all of you tomorrow.

Jake
