Boyd isn't tired because of short rest. He is tired because this year he has thrown more innings than the last four years COMBINED. He hasn't pitched 100 innings in a year since before Covid and now he is over 180. The Cubs rode him because he was great and they were desperate. He's been pretty mediocre for the better part of a month.
