$2000.00 Take #109 New Orleans (-3.5) over San Francisco (4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14)
This play is from my NFL 411 System.
It is very telling that the Saints are favored in this game. That tells me that they are at least a touchdown better than the 49ers after you figure for the three-points for home field advantage. The Saints have outscored their opponents by 13 points on the season and they are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite. New Orleans has covered the spread in nine straight games and they have been the best team in football. San Francisco has had a great year but they did not play a very tough schedule. Alex Smith has had a good year but I do not think he will be able to outscore Drew Brees if this one becomes a shootout. The Saints are 13-3 ATS overall and they are 21-7-1 ATS against teams with a winning record. San Francisco is just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six playoff games and they are 1-4 ATS in their last five playoff games.
