Atlanta got Ashlee Lilee for a 4th round pick. Hes much better than Dante

You lost what little credibility you had with this statement. Lelie sucks AND he has a bad attitude.

Sounds like Stallworth to me. Stallworth also has a bad attitude and a poor work ethic. Put Lelie stats up against Stallworth, and they are better. Lelie was Denvers 2nd option, and Stallworth was the Saints 1st option most of the year.

Games Receptions yards Avg

Lelie 65 169 3012 17.8

Stallworth 60 201 with about 400 drops 2932 14.6

When did Stallworth become Jerry Rice?

Well at Stallworth's post game interview today he stated that he is arriving at the practice faciltiy at 7am and staying until 7pm pretty much every day. Apparantly the heart to heart he had w/ Joe Horn after he was traded has given him a wakeup. He was quoted as saying "I finally learning what it is to be a Professional Football Player"

He said he's learned 80% of the playbook in 2 weeks.

He never learned 80% of the playbook in 5 years with the saints. You expect me to believe that? Constantly running bad routes and dropping passes. Refuses to go over the middle. He has about 2 games a year like the one he had yesterday. Hes good for about 1 more like that this season, then it will be injuries, dropped passes, wrong routes. Just about the time you give up on him, he will have another great game.

We Saints fans have been going through this for 5 years. Good riddance. You guys will soon see what we are talking about.

Enjoy him.

When you consider that Atlanta got Lelie for a 4th round pick, and the Saints got a 3rd and a linebacker for a lesser player, that makes this a great trade for the Saints.

By the way, this credibility comment. Where did I lose all my credibility? For having one bad baseball season?

If have been right way more than wrong.

2 winning baseball season
2 winning college football seasons
2 winning college basketball season
1 losing baseball season.

What have you done for me lately I guess.

Haslet thinks differently

Reid talked to former Saints coach Jim Haslett before acquiring Stallworth to make sure he was adding a quality-character player.
``Jim told me how good he was,'' Reid said. ``We were expecting to get a good football player. It was just a matter of him getting himself in the system and feeling comfortable.''

nice 1st game outing

HOWEVER

let's see him do it against a REAL nfl team - not a sem-pro team like the texans

also - get back to me at the end of the season WHEN stallworth has had an injury that forces him to miss a game or two or more

i agree - good trade but let's hold off on his plaque in Canton for the time being

Choptalk - leave me out of the pure "lovefest" - posted this 2 weeks ago

Eagles wide receiver Donté Stallworth, who was listed as probable after suffering a hamstring spasm on Friday, was deactivated for the game, ending his consecutive-game streak at 34.

He played in 34 straight games.. Not to shabby...........

Saints have a 7th round draft pick from hofstra that took his place in the starting lineup and he is a stud. Remember Marice Colson. He is the real deal.

And by the way. The Saints did just fine today without him.

Now that the rest of the world got to see this guy, who I told you guys all about before the season even started. Who do you think the EAGLES would rather have? COLSON or Stallworth?

By the way, what did the great future HOFer do this week? I did not seem to see his name in the box score this week.

Oh wait!!!!! Let me check the injury report. OH!!!!! There he is. It seems that he had a hang nail.

Enjoy him. We dont need him.

3-0 Saints.

By the way Eagles fans, thanks for the 3rd round pick and Mark Simenoiu.

Do you have anymore lopsided trades you would like to propose?

??

This trade wasn't lopsided, it was quite fair and more in the Eagles favor.
