I don't get the LOL.

Anyone is happy to get out of N.O. That team is destined to lose every season.

The guy had 144 receiving yards today. That's after only 2 weeks of reading the playbook and gelling with McNabb. And his ability to stretch the field will help LJ Smith, Westbrook and Reggie Brown immensly. Huge pickup for the Eagles.

Saints have a 7th round draft pick from hofstra that took his place in the starting lineup and he is a stud. Remember Marice Colson. He is the real deal.

And by the way. The Saints did just fine today without him.

So that means it was a good trade???

:lolBIG:

Look man, your talking to someone that has seen every professional game he has ever played and most of his college games. If you want to get overjoyed about him having one decent game against a bad team, be my guest. I have seen him play. I saw all 945 yards last season. Most of it was garbage yards late in the game after they were down 30 points in the 4th quarter against prevent defense late in the season when Joe Horn was hurt and they had no choice but to throw the ball to him because they had no other recievers.

Just about any reciever in the league can get 945 yards recieving if you throw to them enough.

He drops more passes than he catches. Hes also a ***** who is too afraid to go over the middle. The first time he takes a real lick he will be on the bench.

You have to be kidding me. For a receiver to put up those kind of numbers with Aaron Brooks as his quarterback is beyond impressive.

You can make up your own definition for yards to try and save face all you want...the bottom line is the guy can flat out play. The Eagles needed a wide receiver and he showed on the field what he can do. He is already McNabb's #1 target.

It was total trash yards!!!!!! You have to see it to understand. The Saints did not make the trade for the linebacker, they made the trade for a 3rd round pick for a player thats was going to be a free agent at the end of the season.

A 3rd round pick is pretty good compensation for a player who is always hurt thats been an underachiver his entire career. The only reason he got those yards last season was because Joe Horn was hurt and they had nobody else to throw to. The Saints 2nd option after horn got hurt was Micheal Lewis who is about as bad as it gets.

Atlanta got Ashlee Lilee for a 4th round pick. Hes much better than Dante.

I will bump this thread back up in a few weeks when he gets hurt.

Without looking it up, I bet almost every team in the league except for 1 or 2 had a reciever with at least 900 yards recieving. When you have no one else to throw to, he had no choice but to pile up some meaningless stats.

By the way, Aaron Brooks has been in the top 5 in the league in passing yards 3 out of the last 5 years. I dont have to save face about anything. You will be the one saving face in a few weeks.

You got me on that one. I was wrong about that one, and you were right.

I am right about this one, and you are wrong. We are even now.

Do you think or feel that Stallworth is a good fit or will he be traded?

<HR color=#a29b4f>

I would be trying to deal him off. He only has this year left on his contract and it is obvious he won’t be back on this team, so it makes it real hard to get full value for him, but he lacks real good toughness to play through pain and he just continuously baffles you with his inconsistency as a receiver and a lack of real focus. He just has no real passion for the sport right now and I really feel as though that is why he has never developed into a top receiver. There is no question Donte has talent, but his lack of real focus, attention to detail and passion for the sport has kept him a “tease” player. There would be a number of teams very interested in Stallworth, but to be honest the coaching staff is still trying to find a true #2 receiver on this squad. I personally see him dealt away sometime in the next few weeks.

Stallworth was for a 4th round pick not a 3rd.

Wrongo bucko. The Eagles are going to rework his deal which upgrades the trade to a 3rd round pick. Would you like to bet on this?

Sorry douche....haven't read anything about that. Only going by what i've seen on tv and what's been the Philly papers.

This is all that was mentioned on the Eagles website.

http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=54229

The Eagles have traded a conditional fourth-round draft pick and reserve linebacker Mark Simoneau to the New Orleans Saints for wide receiver Donté Stallworth. The trade is contingent upon both players passing physicals with their respective new teams.

"We're bringing in an experienced receiver that's coming off of a great year with the New Orleans Saints and he'll fit in nicely into our receiving corps," said head coach Andy Reid. "He's got tremendous speed and quickness and he catches the ball very well. He's good with the yards after the catch."
"Mark was one of my favorite guys," said Reid of Simoneau. "He was a great person and tremendous player for us, on special teams and at linebacker. We just appreciate everything he did for this organization."

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=V1>WR Donte' Stallworth adds speed and quickness </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>One of the league's most dangerous deep threats, Stallworth (6-0, 196) is entering his fifth professional season after originally being drafted by the Saints with the 13th overall pick in the 2002 draft. Last season, Stallworth had a stellar year with 70 receptions for 945 yards and seven touchdowns. His touchdown total was his highest since his rookie season when he set a team rookie record with eight scores.
Quarterback Donovan McNabb is excited about the addition of Stallworth.
"Donté is an explosive player who has had a very productive career with the Saints," said McNabb. "I've said many times earlier that I like the skill position players on our roster but realize that you can never have enough playmakers."
In 56 career games (32 starts), Stallworth has hauled in 195 receptions for 2,791 yards and 23 touchdowns. Among his career receptions, 45 were for 20 yards-or-more, while 12 of his career touchdowns were from 25 yards out or further. In addition, four of Stallworth's touchdown receptions have been game winners, including two in 2004, and he has notched 10 career 100-yard receiving games. In 2002, he became the first NFL rookie in 20 years to catch a touchdown in each of his first four games.
The 25-year-old, Sacramento, CA, native starred collegiately at Tennessee, where he finished his career with 99 receptions for 1,747 yards and 13 touchdowns. Stallworth entered the 2002 draft following his junior season. Stallworth has 10 career games with 100-plus receiving yards.

PFT is reporting that the pick goes up to a 3rd if Philly/Stallworth come to an agreement for an extension on his rookie contract
