Sounds like a prop bet to me... I'll take the SEC, you got CS and the loser gets the winner a 1yr subscription to Playboy.... deal?

Which ever gets the farthest is the winner. If neither makes the finals, it's a tie or if no one makes the semi's it's a tie... agreed?

sorry - that is a horrible bet on my part. and also - i used to subscribe to playboy - it sucks so much i rarely pick it up. i'll just bet the games 1 by 1 and go from there.

Fullerton is a definite live dog, but Texas play in tourney coupled to their 3 year NCAA performance makes them the fav in the "easier" bracket, the Horns have the tri-headed pitching and closer that Omaha often demands,

The Canes are co-favs or just behind, they have equally gaudy W-L mark & boast unreal series and loss streak mark this year..had them as slight fav over Texas prior to showing vs UF.

After the aforementioned two is a small line of demarcation, then comes LSU, CSF, and SC close together, with all 3 making recent returns to Omaha, and have balanced squads capable of beating anyone.

UGa, Ark, and Az round out the field, and though they have their strengths, the Dawgs can be light hitters at times, while the Hogs and Cats can be soft serve from the mound at times.

I'll be surprised if any besides UT, Mia, LSU, CSF, or SC is in title game.

4th & 5th seeds have decent track record?

Winning Gm-1 is always huge to getting to title game.

Last time I say this, and Im still little bitter. 2 best teams in the country are not here. Long Beach State and Stanford. They had to play each other in the first round, because of the good ole boy network of the NCAA. Beach played NOT to lose and Cats had luck and timely hitting. Beach had Weaver who will win a Cy Young, a 2nd rnd pick in lefty Vargas and a guy who will probably be pitching for US Olympic team in Romero. Boatright will be a MLB and Tutowlowski will be a Olympian/MLB SS. Vargas will make MLB it becasue he is a LEfty and can hit like Dreifort/Hampton. Juiced up his fb to 94, dont ask how please.

Stanford punked Texas early in the year, I made a limit bet on that series with Chris at Oly and it was easy cash.

Howell for Texas can toss a little, but Suzuki owns him. High draft pick Windsor and Martinez also very good.

Arizona knows how to win on the road and Lopez is excellent coach.

Fullerton/Texas CLEARLY better than other 6 teams. 3-8 I dont see one team as any better than the next.

I put very little stock in who has been to Omaha in past.

Finally I would like to add, that Fullerton and LongBeach dont look outside of SOCAL for their players, though Suzuki is a Hawaii kid. While every other team in the top 20 PRAYS they can land some of OUR OrangeCounty,LA,Sandiego or Valley kids.

Rail,

"WHAT WE'VE GOT HERE IS FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE

SOME MEN YOU JUST CAN'T REACH

SO YOU GET WHAT WE HAD HERE LAST WEEK

WHICH IS THE WAY HE WANTS IT

WELL, HE GETS IT

I DON'T LIKE IT ANY MORE THAN YOU.."

LSB(LBS) doesn't even look the best, if on LSD.

But must say that LBS did appear earlier in the month to be one of the best 5 in the land, and definitely will have as many or more MLBers in the end, than the other teams in Omaha..Ditrbags will be back!

Rail, quit worrying over your team, they're out, focus in and give us the CWS winners to come, I know you will finish strong the rest of the way..GL!

P.S. I could use the ArenaBowl winner..Thanks!

Obviously they weren't the two best teams or one of them would be there.... YOU thought they were the two best teams... and that's a long way from them actually being the two best teams.

I wouldn't be surprised to see S.Carolina beat CS.Fullerton......

Anybody know if Olympic will offer individual games or is it more of series prices again??

Chili, LV plus many offshore sportsbooks have always offered Series odds and also individual game lines on the CWS.

My guess is that after the Dust opens, LV along w/Oly, Pinny, and 5Dimes will have both sets..and then others will step in with the Stepford Lines.

The drawback is that it usually has always been nickel limits max market(some places even as low as 200/300)..thus in the past a need of access to some Large stateside stores & a good rapport with their bosses to negotiate dime play.

Coast Propertys been taking dimes or more, if I remmeber correct, I made my softball power ratings and they were very solid. I picked 1 to 8 right on money, got unlucky on title game though but did very well. Softball uses just 1 pitcher so you need to adjust for Pitchers. I love the neutral site.

I felt that Chris put up some very weak numbers in the regionals and supers, and was happy to see him be cloned.

Im debating sharing my ncaa pitcher power ratings and will probably do so upon my return from the jacuzzi, which is badly needed for my shin splints after several sets of tennis today.

Hey guys, with the title showdown of bracket survivors now in series format, a team's 1-2-3 pitching punch and pen is now a larger factor in making to win odds than in previous years?

In the past, a decent 1-2 and closer often was enough..a solid 3rd starter more in play than previously?..especially for the tougher bracket teams that look to use more pitching in getting there?

Tex, Mia, and SC have the best 1-2-3 coupled to solid closer by far of the CWS field..Windsor or Carillo would be scary to face in a possible Gm-3 of the Finals.

Carillo has been a stud, better than Cockroft, IMO. He is the ace of that staff. I would have him starting first.
