no doubt about it u can make money at futures and these guys have made ALOT.. BUT they never post their 8-10 losing tickets either.. keep that in mind. its only the winning tickets every few years they show.. they dont pop out of woodwork and say HEY GUYS I lost 8 futures for 50-100$ a pop this year and none of them even made the superbowl. LOL - i guarantee u it happens.. BUT I do believe the tickets that they do hit as well.

.. its a gamble just like anything else ESPECIALLY in a year like this year.. this superbowl EASILY could have been atl vs new eng/ or GB vs Jets/ or Philly vs Indy(w no injuries)/ or etc etc ETC

They may have not been the best team all year, but they were the best team at the end of the year.

Seriously, football cannot be your favorite sport or the one you know the most about...........

Eh? Actually the NHL and NFL are about all i've been focusing on for months,
although as regards other sports i bet on no knowledge of them is needed
when using others' picks, scalping or the Pinnacle lean.

For all you Patriot backers who think your team was better then GB, think again. Your team was exposed in the playoffs, you lost.

The 18-0 Patriots also lost to the NYG in the SB. Yet who would deny them being the best
team that year? On any given day any team can lose to any other. BTW Brady also had foot
surgery a few days after the Jets game. What does that tell you?

You can't bet futures without having losing tickets, unless your planning on being very lucky. I'm always in a constant shopping mode for value. You can't win at futures unless you do have losing tickets to hedge. Your right it very easily could have been Atlanta etc. Wish it would have with 35/1 on ATL and 17/1 NFC. For this college BB season I will have some futures here you can pick at. The favorites at this time will not be profitable for me, with the exception of Kansas and Texas, so those teams will be hedged in the tournament. There will be alot of losers here so I will save you the trouble. I will work these teams into the tournament with various kinds of hedging.

Uconn 85/1
Kansas 20/1
Ohio St 15/1
Nova 45/1
Notre Dame 100/1
NC 150/1
Baylor 200/1
Xavier 300/1
Gtown 50/1
Syracuse 45/1
Pitt 25/1
Washington 100/1
AZ 150/1
Texas 40/1
Florida 125/1
BYU 100/1
SD St 60/1
Kentucky 35/1
Wiscky 100/1
Duke 5/1
A & M 200/1

What do you think. He was 2010-11 MVP by a unanimous vote.

In the Jets playoff game? He was awful.

The foot was bothering him for quite sometime and he played good obviously thru it, so how can that be an excuse. Jets just took him out with effective pass rush. Pats got exposed, very young team especially on defense

The secret to betting futures is first getting great value. Secondly is keeping an updated book as to how much $$ you have invested and how much you will win on each team. I keep track on almost a daily basis. For example .... If you have $ 100 on Texas at 40/1, If Texas should win, you collect $ 4000. Say I have invested a total of $ 2000. in futures, I have a $ 2000 profit in Texas. Simple Math but a very necessary part of staying on top. You can only end up with a nice profit buying great value however. Take a close look at Redeye's list of buys and you will see that He have bought some great values. It's a naive statement to say that you can bet futures and not have a handful of losing tickets DUH ! You either understand the Math or you don't. I started making profits on betting futures about 25 years ago. The very Sportsbook where I bought plenty of Texas at 40/1 here in Vegas now has Texas listed at 5/1. The value on Texas has come and gone..... Start looking elsewhere !

clearly gb was the best team. they won, and were top of the power ratings for several weeks before the super bowl.

I disagree that the best team won the superbowl... maybe the "hottest team" in the nfl won.. but certainly not the best.

how can u be the best if u are barely in the playoffs and have to win last 3 weeks just to be considered? how are u the best if once u make the playoffs u have to play on the road every game??? how are u the best if when entering the playoffs u are in 6th or 7th place in odds to win it all.

certainly that shows they were not the best...just had the best run because they were "hot" and admittedly they had heart in their run.

I forgot that those power ratings know what team is the best.
Never underestimate good power ratings. They take into consideration almost everything relating to the teams. You pay no attention to power ratings ? Power ratings are behind almost every line that the offshores or Vegas puts out there. Long before the Steelers beat the Jets, my co-worker that was with me at the M said " I think the Steelers will be a slight favorite over the Packers " right ? I replied " No, I think the Packers will be favored by 2 1/2 ". He said how can a 6 seed be favored over a 2 seed ? Simple answer ... Their not as good as the 6 seed and the power ratings said so and the power ratings were correct. The power ratings aren't the Bible but they sure offer a great guide !

The Packers were very highly rated from the start of the season. The fact that they were
#6 means little when you factor in {1} they had serious injuries even before {2} they lost
two games while their #1 QB was out in the regular season. Getting healthy again there
was no surprise they would again obtain their early season rating and be -2.5 favs as i
posted prior to the SB.

The excuse was he had a bad day and/or his foot was a problem. He had surgery days after the game. He had a poor outing for him, yet the Pats still had more first downs, 25-13, more yards 372-314, yet lost the turnover battle 0-1 and failed twice on 4th down, as well as sucking in the red zone {including 2 short field goals, 34 & 25 yds}. Again, to say they were not the best team in the NFL just because they lost ignores the fact they already crushed these same Jets earlier by over 40 points and that the 18-0 Pats also lost. Are you saying they weren't the best?
