a nice day for CPRX today as it closes at 1.29. it ended the day on a move toward the upside with increased volume -- a very nice sign heading into tomorrow.

i suspect it will reach $2 within the week, although i'm trying to keep my expectations modest. depending on how much you invested, what your expectations are in relation to your risk tolerance, it is up to you. if you got on it a $1 or less i'd certainly keep a tight stop on it. i got on it at 1.16 a week ago, so i'm not expecting to sell below $1.50.

this company was an IPO in late 2006 that started out at $6 with analysts projecting it to reach $9. it never climbed above $7. it dropped steadily from '07 to '09 as its research was slow. in may, it announced the drug it was researching showed no positive effects -- the price plummeted from $2.10 to .90 in one day. this company's life is the drug it is developing to treat addiction.

the news last week was significant, and i expect an announcement soon that it has shown better results. they announced in that report that they would be releasing results some time in the 3rd qtr on its new experiments. the fact that they received exclusive marketing rights from Northwestern University is major. the announcement i am expecting them to release should push the stock price above $2.

nonetheless, a 20% gain in one week. @)

it's impossible to get in at the best possible price and get out at the best possible price. i considered buying back at .80 so i could lower my dca, but wasn't comfortable with the risk. i'm looking for a quick break to 1.40 in the morning, after that....i still feel it's a little early for the run up i'm looking for, but who knows

feel good heading into tomorrow. 7,200 shares traded after hours, which for this stock is A LOT. tempering my beer drinking tonight, so that i may rise with the living tomorrow.

by the way, if by chance this opens significantly higher tomorrow, i will have a trailing stop order set close to the current market price and will look for a cheaper price to get back in. i'm expecting another short term sell off based on its rise today. i really thought it would move slowly higher before bursting....

i can't really tell you. i have considerably less in my brokerage -- usaa -- and i've placed about 4 dozen trades in the last 2 months. the only problem i have is after i sell, it takes about 2 days for that money to be freed up for another trade.

Wells fargo doesn't have requirement how much money that you have to have for day trader but it will be a small commision they will charged if you buy or sell penny stock.
$25 - 30 bucks approx / transaction.
WF doesn't do AH trading either.

Yeah, this sucks! I don't wanna put all my money just in a online trading account. I asked scottrade if I could open another account, but they said it would still be against the rules, Looks like I'm gonna have to look into opening an account at ameritrade or somewhere else.

i use Fidelity and will say that i pay some higher commissions on the pink sheet stuff but on other trades it is $10.95 per trade. I love the web site and it is very user friendly. I have a Fidelity brokerage office nearby so i can deposit money fairly quickly when needed.

There are a lot of online brokerages that are good but knowing i can run over there and make a deposit or talk to a person face to face means a lot to me. (ironic i say that since i have made about $25k in investments based on the posts of a guy i have never met or spoken too :think2: )

It is not play money and i have it spread out on 13 different stocks so i am not overloaded too much on one pick. While everyone was out buying vacation homes, boats, 3rd cars, flat panel tvs and such from 2002 to 2007, i have been hoarding my cash waiting on these days. There are, and will be, many tremendous opportunities in the coming months.

I don't have that much $ invested, but I have few shares of CPBY, CTIC, CMGR, WAMUQ, LEHNQ, LEHMQ. I am slowly building my equity. but would like to have more in my portfolio.
