ok, it looks like everyone just got the updates

like it says, let me know if you received the two files and everything is working fine.

if so i'lll use that process vs the one where everyone needs to update using the daily data. this is far more desirable, in that i know everyone will have the exact same info

Worked great for me.

worked great

two files, pdws and may 20th master. i used my zip program in a little diff way, just want to be sure that options works fine as i would rather sent just one link to a zip file that has everything for the day, it wiill make it easer on everyone, and let the effort be on the capping vs updating

tks

Glad you are going to do it this way - I was thinking about setting up a FTP site for distribution.

i'm sure glad it worked as well. hell i dont even like to update the master, let alone 60 diff people doing it, that would have been a sure fire cluster fuck

not too much going on, already have most of my bets in for the day, so if anyone is interested in creating a pivot table #101, i'd be willing to take an hour or so and make one on line. its very easy. we'll use the 2006 small form master that is posted below. it's the same procedure for any you would create with the 2007 master data, but just less data cols for the pivots

we get a few that are willing to give it a try i'll start up a session

Pops I can usually make them no problem. But how do set up the headers with drop downs.....the way you have them set up in the master.

it's easy if you already have the data in the col's you want

just select the cols, start with anyone you want and hold the mouse button on the header col and drag right or left until you have all of the ones you want. than take the mouse and click on the data tab on top, right under Get Started you will see a Filter Icon, just click on it and your done

mlb.com

game is in progress right now

Crazy, doesn't show up on my MLB.tv or on DB. By the way the download link worked for me too, better late than never right. Hopefully shit will stop coming up after today and I can get to some serious work.

i just just tried a new method of sending the updates for the master to everyone along with the pdws all in one zip file, that way no updates will be required

post up in the thread if this worked for everyone, if so i'll only need to create one zip file nightly and send the link to geppi and everyone should be good to go, and not have you all become excel people and can just work on your capping for the day

i hope that the above works as it will save everyone some time and me a bunch of trouble shooting etc

I got and it works fine. Man I just figured out what I was doing.
Now I have to learn the pivot tables.
