Pops are you gonna send out a data file everyday like you did yesterday or only a completed PDWS like you did today?

every day i'll send out a pdws and a data file (just like geppi sent this morning you should have received 3 files, data, pdws and instructions)

the data file is applied first, the pdws is than used to update the wa nps with the daily schedule to get the detail for the holly and the scoring avgs. the filter drop downs can also be used, but i find that just copy and paste special for the data only is the fastest and easiest way

i just looked at what geppi sent out

the sunday pdws is useless so just delete or what ever you want as it not required for anything

1-update procedure
2-master thru may 19th
3-sunday may 20 games data
3-pdws for monday may 21

apply the may 20th data to the master, than put in the daily schedule in the summary you use (popsummary or wa nps) if you dont use either of these this step is not required

Pops I don't think I had this last night or had it and didn't use. The master that I had was read only and would not let me save the changes. I went to save as, changed the date to the 20th, then save, no go.

follow these steps, open the may 19th spreadsheet that geppi sent you than do a save as and change the date to the 20th. than d/l the you send it link for yesterdays data, it's in zip format, once ready open it and follow the two step instructions. once the two pieces of data are in the 20th master file, just do a refresh and save the normal way

at this point your ready to put in the monday schedule in any of the two summaries if you use them

everyone should now have the may 19th masters, stand alone ump spreadsheet, pdws for monday (add dreckman as ump in cleveland) and data for sunday

check sum number after the upgrades and dreckman added will be:

wa nps col DE 7.2, and col DF 4.4

already bet the following:

zona under
sfo under
cws under
nyy over
clev over

i'm going to the casino for BF, back in less than 2

most umps going today will be netural or under, already know dreckman in clev and guessing a netural for nyy

the drop down are just the manual method of doing the popsummary and wa nps updates manually (takes much longer vs copy paste special from the pdws)

take col C of the wa nps as an example, game of series, the data for those starts in row 50 in that tab area. if you use that method you need to keep the pitcher list updated (only one that will change) just do an edit copy and that past special starting in row 50 col E (you see where it starts) for both the home and visiting pitchers. the pitchers are listed in the in the Red PitcherOverUnder tab col Q for Home and col Y for visitor. those automatically get generated from the al & nl combined data that you update. from time to time you should check that list to make sure no dupe names, if you ever get one i'll walk you thru on how to fix it

alone having any problems with the updates?

Actually only want it for ump section...easy on a day wioth new umps to hit drop down and select the ump..

i just just tried a new method of sending the updates for the master to everyone along with the pdws all in one zip file, that way no updates will be required

post up in the thread if this worked for everyone, if so i'll only need to create one zip file nightly and send the link to geppi and everyone should be good to go, and not have you all become excel people and can just work on your capping for the day

like it says, let me know if you received the two files and everything is working fine.

if so i'lll use that process vs the one where everyone needs to update using the daily data. this is far more desirable, in that i know everyone will have the exact same info

Yeah Pops this way makes it much better. I bet it wouldn't of taken a week for 50 people to have 50 different Master SS doing it the other way.
